The Disney Destiny -

Disney Cruise Line's newest ship, the Destiny, will begin sailing on Nov. 20

PEOPLE was invited aboard the ship for a three-day preview cruise, including the ship's official christening

Some of the best features of the ship include a Haunted Mansion-themed bar, a Star Wars kids space and the new Hercules show

A new destiny awaits Disney fans.

Disney Cruise Line's seventh vessel, the Destiny, will make its maiden voyage on Nov. 20, but PEOPLE had an exclusive first look at (well, ride aboard) the 221 feet tall and 1,119 feet long ship.

The ship was celebrated with a special, drone-filled christening ceremony led by the Destiny's godmother, Hercules' voice actress Susan Egan, on Nov. 10, before disembarking from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to Disney's private island, Castaway Cay. This inaugural sailing allowed reporters, like myself, to get a peek at all the offerings of this new boat.

Like all of Disney's cruise experiences, there's sun up to sun down activities for every age —we're talking hourly trivia, character appearances, live music and signature drinks.

With a jam-packed three-day schedule, its hard to narrow down which offerings stand out. Here's this editors' take on the 10 can't-miss, must see, Easter egg-erific, best things aboard the Disney Destiny.

Get "poisoned" at the Haunted Mansion Parlor.

It's always spooky season aboard the Disney Destiny. The ship is home to Disney's second Haunted Mansion Parlor (the first is located on the Treasure), a cocktail bar that's serving up much more than drinks.

The Haunted Mansion's recognizable purple wallpaper outfits the bar, as do cobwebs and various ocean-themed relics of a romance gone awry. Because, of course, there's a "story to tell" through these highball glasses, Haunted Mansion Parlor server Cassie Mae de la Cruz tells PEOPLE.

At the story's heart is a boat captain and his bride-to-be. Explains de la Cruz, "They are about to get married, but they disappear and nobody knows what happened to them. Inside the parlor, there's hidden clues — and you can figure out what happened."

Easter egg-loving Disney nerds (like myself) will appreciate the staff members' uniform details, including a bat-shaped bow-tie, and the use of a bell when Madam Leota appears.

Disney

The Haunted Mansion Parlor

The cocktails are, of course, on theme. While you can grab a glass of red or a vodka soda, it's the unique offerings that are not to be missed. De la Cruz's favorite (and now, mine) is called the Chilling Challenge: My Way. It comes in a small wooden box — when opened, smoke pours out.

"It's more a presentation than a drink," de la Cruz says. "When I put the box there, I tell the guest, 'You can open the box now' and when they open, there's smoke inside with the drink. When they try their drink, I tell them, 'I've fooled you, there's poison inside that drink.' They love it. "

Don't worry, you'll make it out of the bar alive — and with a death certificate in hand. Laughs de la Cruz, "Our cocktails are to die for."

Watch Hercules hit the high seas (and the high notes).

Hunkules — er, Hercules — has officially taken the stage in the Atlantic ocean.

Corey J. Bradford transforms into the Greek hero for the Destiny's one-hour staging of the 1997 animated film.

In addition to some very impressive puppets (yes, the six-headed hydra comes to life without the help of a digital screen), "you're getting riffs, you're getting runs," Bradford tells PEOPLE.

Disney

Corey J. Bradford in Hercules on the Disney Destiny

The beloved songbook from the film gets new life for this production: "They wanted to keep it current to make sure we highlight the musical stylings of R&B, of gospel, of jazz music."

"The music of this show, it's fantastic — some of the best music that Disney has in its canon," says Bradford, whose version of "Go the Distance" can't be missed.

Get entertained by a Dalmatian-spotted grand piano.

Disney

De Vil's piano lounge aboard the Disney Destiny

The world was such a wholesome place until ... I walked into De Vil's.

The bar-hopping options aboard the Disney Destiny are many, though De Vil's evokes a much different vibe, specifically, the "over-the-top and marvelous" personality of its namesake, Cruella De Vil.

The piano bar leans into the Cruella aesthetic, continuing the ship's overall hero and villain tributes.

The nightly live piano is can't miss, but — as with much of the ship — so are the "hidden Easter eggs," Sara Pepper, senior creative producer with Disney Imagineering, tells PEOPLE. "Our props team actually recreated the vampire phone [from 101 Dalmatians] that you see behind the bar," she teases.

— sign up for PEOPLE's free daily newsletter to stay up-to-date on the best of what PEOPLE has to offer, from celebrity news to compelling human interest stories.

The bar's true showstopper, though, is the piano itself — a white grand piano, completely covered with black Dalmatian spots

"Our graphic designers actually create the graphic so you're seeing the ink spots on here," explains Pepper, "then that design is put into something called a wrap and we wrap the piano."

Chart a course to some strong drinks under Jack Sparrow's map.

Where's all the rum gone? To Cask and Cannon, another themed lounge aboard the ship.

Cask and Cannon has pub grub with a Caribbean twist, paying homage to Disney Parks' signature attraction, the Pirates of the Caribbean.

While there's an entire menu of rum to pick from, it's, again, the design details from above and below that wowed me.

Disney

Cask & Cannon lounge on the Disney Destiny

"One of my favorite details of the space is definitely the map on the ceiling," Beth Burkhardt, manager of interior design at Walt Disney Engineering, tells PEOPLE. "We went to the archives at Walt Disney imagineering in California and we looked at the [late animator] Marc Davis sketches that influenced the very first attractions in California. So you'll see those original sketches on the ceiling."

Continues Burkhardt, "A fun Easter egg within it is we have our [private] islands in there and also seven kinds of pirate ships, as this is our seventh ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet."

Diners (and drinkers) should also look alongside the bar, where there's drawers of treasure maps, all named after "different scenes in our attractions."

Visit with a porg in 'Star Wars': Cargo Bay.

While this Star Wars fan is certainly not under age 12, I was able to sneak into the Destiny's Oceaneer kids club to check out the Star Wars: Cargo Bay play area. The galaxy becomes accessible with this interactive play space.

Kent Phillips/Disney

Star Wars: Cargo Bay in the Oceaneer Club

There's buttons and screens and all the fun tech to help children as young as 3 join the Resistance, but also animatronic space creatures anyone would enjoy. I was particularly excited to spot a little cage containing a too-cute Porg.

Parents sailing aboard the Destiny will generally love the Oceaneer Club, where kids can be dropped off for any part of the day. While there, counselors lead them through activities in a variety of themed spaces. My girl mom heart wanted to stay and hang in the three, themed Disney princess rooms — a craft space with Rapunzel's friend Pascal, a reading room for Princess Belle and space for Anna and Elsa.

Get ruthlessly bullied by Deadpool.

Wade Wilson is showing Disney Destiny cruisers — and, honestly, the company — no mercy in the ship's adults-only comedy show, With Great Power: A Marvel Comedy Show.

The show, hosted by the ship's "storytellers" Zayah and Gamble, shares highlights of MCU history. Deadpool pops up via video, and roasts the "room full of Disney adults" (guilty as charged).

No more spoilers, but the segment is fun. The entire Marvel show is hosted in the ship's Saga space, inspired by Black Panther. During the day, family activities like crafts are held in the two-floor theatre, but at night its offerings are more adult-focused.

Live like Tony Stark in the two-floor Tower Suite.

Marvel has a prominent place aboard the Destiny — the MCU's superhero and villain characters are key parts of the overall storyline. So, of course, Iron Man has taken residence aboard the ship.

The Tower Suite accommodations are located within the ship's forward funnel, and made for a truly unforgettable vacation experience. Just kidding — I didn't stay in the two-story, 4-bedroom suite while on the Destiny, but I did get to visit.

The suite can host eight guests, and includes a library, two masters with king-sized beds, soaking tubs and a full dining area — all in nearly 2,000 square feet of living space.

Kent Phillips/Disney

The Disney Destiny Tower Suite

There's a spiral staircase, a wet bar, walk-in closets — and Iron Man's mask.

"We have concierge available for the Destiny Tower Suite," Lisa Pickett, hotel director aboard the Disney Destiny, tells PEOPLE. "With the concierge, of course, comes access to the concierge lounge and sun deck where our guests can relax and enjoy a cocktail or food and beverage. ... We can order from any of our restaurants on board and they can have dinner in their own dining room and we serve that to them as well."

All that Iron Man luxury comes with a price tag, of course: $38,000 for four adults on some sailings.

Nosh on a French menu prepared by a Michelin-Star chef.

Chef Arnaud Lallement, who has thrice been awarded a Michelin star, has crafted a gourmet French menu and experience aboard the Destiny that would impress even frequent fine diners.

Chris Sista/Disney

Echanté by Chef Arnaud Lallement

Wait staff at Echanté is knowledgable and worldly as they drop off carefully executed courses like petrossian caviar and wagyu beef. Our meal — prepared by Chef Arnaud, himself — included elegant champagne pairings and a dessert presentation complete with white gloves.

It's Disney, so, of course, there's a character nod even in the upscale, adults-only restaurant space: Lumiére, of Beauty and the Beast, peeks out from one of the wall sconces as you approach Echanté's grand chandelier in the lobby.

Related: https://ift.tt/WTNQ65F

Transport yourself to the African savanna with a 'Lion King'-themed dining experience.

Cruisers can get dinner and a show on the savanna at the ship's Pride Lands: Feast of the Lion King experience. As I dined on peri-peri shrimp and pan-seared corvina paired with yam puré and Shiraz-braised oxtail, to boot, performers regaled us with the story of Simba.

Disney

Disney's Pride Lands: Feast of the Lion King restaurant

Fans of the 1994 classic will be pleased to hear "Circle of Life" and "Hakuna Matata" accompanied by traditional African instruments. Of course, Scar's ominous song "Be Prepared" is included (the ship's theme is heroes and villains, after all).

While I loved the dance performance to "Can You Feel the Love" tonight, the winning feature, for me, was the creamsicle cheesecake (the orange segment glaze was, literally, chef's kiss).

Get out of your comfort zone for unique character interactions.

Disney Cruise Line

Dr. Facilier's parlor experience aboard the Destiny

Littlest cruisers will, of course, be excited to meet Mickey, Minnie and pals, but most of the adults aboard the Destiny's preview sailing were relishing the ship's more rare meet-and-greets.

Among them? A chance to delve into some voodoo with The Princess Frog's Dr. Facilier in his parlor space; a slightly unhinged visit from Cruella De Vil to her so-named jazz lounge; a Grand Hall takeover by Loki; and Jack Sparrow's swashbuckling presence on Disney Cruise Line's signature Pirate Night.

Mark Wahlberg is calling horseback riding a "dangerous sport" following his daughter's injury.

During an appearance on Today, The Family Plan 2 actor, 54, opened up about how his daughter Grace, 15, is doing after her injury. The teen was rushed to the hospital with a broken collarbone after getting hurt during an equestrian competition.

"She's good," Mark said. "She's just angry that she's not allowed to be back on the horse yet. She does have to take the time to recover. She broke her collarbone. She was rushed off to the hospital in an ambulance.

Mark went on to call horseback riding "the most dangerous, nerve-wracking sport that I've ever watched and witnessed," conceding, "But she loves it."

He also praised Grace for being "so dedicated" to the sport. "She has the discipline at 15 that it took me into my 40s to getting. You think I get up early and do things to prepare? I mean, she's a machine," he said. "She was just worried that we would be too concerned because of the dangers that we wouldn't let her ride again, but she's passionate about it so we have to let her pursue that."

While chatting with Access Hollywood for his upcoming movie on Nov. 12, the actor and dad of four, 54, gave his first update on his daughter Grace. Mark, who shares his daughter with wife Rhea Durham, praised his daughter for her passion and dedication to the sport, despite how "terrifying" and "dangerous" it can be.

"She's doing great. Thank you for asking," he told the outlet. "It was terrifying, you know. It's a very, very dangerous sport, but she's so passionate about it."

"All she wanted to do is get back on that horse, no pun intended," he added. "[She was] just chomping at the bit and, you know, worried that we would deem the sport too dangerous, but she is so passionate [and] so dedicated."

The doting dad also expressed his gratitude to everyone who wished her a speedy recovery. "It's very, very scary, and I thank everybody for their support and well wishes."

On Sunday, Nov. 3, the teen shared a carousel of Instagram photos, beginning with a picture of herself in a hospital bed and wearing a sling. In other images, Grace could be seen on horseback and walking in an equestrian uniform. She also included an older photo of Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans seemingly celebrating a victory.

"No pressure we will be back," Grace captioned the post.

Mark commented with praying, broken heart and crying emojis. Rhea also commented under the post, writing, "No doubt kid."

In addition to Grace, the Oscar-nominated actor and his wife share three other children: Brendan, 17, Michael, 19, and Ella, 22. While raising four kids is "not easy," Mark often turns to his faith "for the strength and guidance" to be the best parent he can be.

"I want to give my kids the world, but I also want them to appreciate everything, to succeed, to be good people, to enjoy life," Mark has said about his parenting philosophy. "This is my most important role. If I fail at this, I fail at everything."

Season 15 premieres Thursday, Dec. 4 at 8 p.m. ET

Rachel Zoe marked her comeback to reality TV at BravoCon 2025 ahead of her debut on season 15 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills — and shed light on the end of her marriage.

In a first look shared at the annual convention on Friday, Nov. 14, the celebrity stylist opens up to pal Kathy Hilton about her split from ex-husband Rodger Berman.

"I'm trying to look at him as a friend... I'm not there yet," she says in the candid conversation. The star also compared her relationship with Berman to The Notebook, noting they were "married 26 years, together for 33."

"We were together for 18 years before we had kids. I think after we had kids, I think it changes, at the end of the day," she adds. "I think we've outgrown each other... we became very different people."

The stylist-turned-media personality, 54, is returning to Bravo for the newest installment of RHOBH. Zoe joins Kyle Richards, Erika Jayne, Sutton Stracke, Bozoma Saint John, Dorit Kemsley and fellow newcomer Amanda Frances on season 15. Zoe previously announced she will be joining the show via Instagram on June 6. "Here we go again @bravotv !!!✨ I am officially joining #TheRealHousewivesofBeverlyHills and back with my Bravo family. Let's do this! 💎 #RHOBH," Zoe wrote at the time.

In a video she posted alongside her announcement, Zoe said, "It's been a while and you've been asking me to come back to television, and I said when the stars align or it makes sense or I have enough to say to share with all of you, and now is the time. Really excited to be with all of you again and I hope you are too, so let's have some fun! Mwah!"

Prior to her RHOBH debut, Zoe was on the Bravo show The Rachel Zoe Project that aired from 2008 through 2013. The show, which ran for five seasons, followed her life as a celebrity stylist and designer.

Zoe's addition to the Real Housewives franchise comes after Garcelle Beauvais announced she was exiting Beverly Hills following the conclusion of season 14. Beauvais said she was leaving to devote time to her sons and focus on new projects.

Speaking to PEOPLE exclusively at the Baby2Baby Gala on Nov. 8, Zoe said she loved filming the new season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. "It was really nice [for] it not just be on me and about me and always me," she said.

Zoe added, "And I'm so much more interested in other people's lives than I am my own, so that was really nice to kind of, I think, be with the other women all the time."

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 15 will premiere Dec. 4 on Bravo, with episodes available to stream the next day on Peacock. BravoCon 2025 continues through Sunday, Nov. 16 at Las Vegas' Caesars Forum.

- The 2026 SAG Awards will now be known by a new name.

- SAG-AFTRA changed its social media handles to reflect the change on Friday.**

- Demi Moore, Timothée Chalamet, and more were big winners at the 2025 show.

The SAG Awards are no more, as Hollywood's largest union has announced a shocking name change ahead of SAG-AFTRA's 2026 ceremony.

In a move billed as a "new chapter in our history" on the group's official X account, the Screen Actors Guild Awards will now be known as The Actor Awards, per a video announcement on social media.

"Introducing The Actor Awards presented by SAG-AFTRA," the organization's message read, with the account sharing a video highlighting past ceremony attendees cycling through past ceremonies' opening statements, which typically see attendees in the audience looking to camera to state their name, followed by the subject adding, "and I am an actor."

The video touted the Netflix-hosted ceremony as "exclusively for actors." When reached for comment, a representative for the show confirms via email the name change, and points toward the group's website explaining the reasoning for the shift in name.

"Since the show started over 30 years ago, our iconic statuette has always been called The Actor, and simply evolving the show's name to align with the award itself made obvious sense," the website statement reads. "We wanted to provide clearer recognition in terms of what the show is about for our domestic and global audiences — we honor actors in film and television. Laser-focusing the name on those two things became the clearest and most straightforward path for this new chapter of the show."**

Additionally, the site stressed that "we're simply aligning the show's title with the name of the award itself and the union behind it."**

The site also indicates that there will be no changes to the submissions, nominations, and final voting processes, and that "past winners and audiences included will still refer to their award and the show as the SAG Awards" by mistake, "and that's ok. We know it'll take time to adjust to the change."

Further, SAG-AFTRA will continue to present and organize the awards show, as they have for the last three decades.

** has additionally reached out to Netflix for comment.**

With heavy crossover membership into the Academy's largest voting branch, SAG-AFTRA members' votes often determine winners at the Actor Awards that go on to win Oscars, including last year's Best Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actress Oscar champions Kieran Culkin and Zoe Saldaña.

Despite the strong crossover track record, both Best Actress (Mikey Madison) and Best Actor (Adrien Brody) Oscar winners didn't pick up earlier statuettes at the Actor Awards, with Demi Moore and Timothée Chalamet instead scoring with SAG-AFTRA's voters.

Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott have been awarded joint legal custody of their five kids.

According to court documents obtained by PEOPLE, the former couple will have joint legal custody of their four minor kids — Stella, 17, Hattie, 14, Finn, 13, and Beau, 8. They are also parents to son Liam 18, who is not a minor.

As for physical custody, the two acknowledged that Spelling will have "substantially higher" amounts of time with their kids. However, McDermott will be awarded "reasonable custodial timeshare" to be determined by the two parties. If there is a dispute about physical custody, the two will turn to a mediator to solve the issue.

There will also be no child support. Spelling and McDermott will split their minor children's health care expenses equally, both for future and outstanding expenses. They will also each pay half of their kids' extracurricular activities.

On this week's episode of her podcast misSPELLING, Spelling addressed her recent divorce settlement from her ex-husband McDermott. At the time, the mom of five said she felt lucky to be walking away from her divorce with what she refers to as a "clean slate."

"Dean and I came out of this divorce with a clean slate. Neither of us asked each other for anything," said Spelling. "We walked away as two complete parties that are just there to support, love, raise and set a great example of how families can divorce, uncouple and lead by example and still be there for their family."

"Our kids are most important. And it makes me sad to think that so many marriages are not in a good place. And it's sad to think that the human that you started this beautiful, fairy tale-esque dream, because that's every young person's dream is a fairy tale," said Spelling. "And to be lead in your own rom com and to create such beautiful memories to raise families together. And then one day, it's done. And people walk away and they hate each other."

"They can't see each other. You know, it's just the kids go back and forth and it makes me sad. And I feel beyond blessed that I have the opposite of that," she added.

At the beginning of November, the former couple settled their divorce over two years after first separating. The pair signed off on the terms in late October, according to documents filed with the Superior Court of California, County of Los Angeles, on Nov. 3.

In the court documents obtained by PEOPLE, both Spelling and McDermott checked off that they'll submit a written agreement to the court, with their divorce listed as "uncontested."

Spelling initially filed for divorce from McDermott on March 29, 2024, after 18 years of marriage. At the time, Spelling requested the court award her spousal support and sole physical custody of their five minor children and joint legal custody with McDermott's visitation rights to be determined at a later date.
