They shared in March that they were expecting their first baby
Taylor Lautner and Tay Lautner are sharing a "secret" about their first baby.
On Sunday, June 7, the couple revealed their baby's sex in an emotional Instagram Reel that captured them learning the news for the first time.
"Our little secret is now yours," they captioned the joint post.
The video starts with Taylor, 34, and Tay, 29, sitting on a couch while looking at a laptop. They cover their eyes while they click on a prompt to reveal their baby's sex. However, there is another button for them to click.
The couple proceeds to close their eyes again while clicking the next prompt. "Oh my gosh, that's a lot of steps," Taylor says.
The website then asks them a third time. "It's asked us three times," the Twilight alum says, to which his wife replies, "They're taking very great precautions."
The couple looks at the screen while clicking the third prompt, and Taylor tells Tay, "I love you." After they click the prompt, Taylor throws his arms in the air while excitedly screaming and Tay covers her mouth. Text that reads "girl" in pink appears on the screen.
Taylor hugs his wife as she starts to cry. "We did it," he says.

The actor reflected on the news in a post to his Instagram Stories, writing, "My dream has always been to become a girl dad."
"All my puppies have been girls. Some of my best friends in the whole world are girls. My only sibling is my baby sister. I have an incredible mother," he continued. "Tay is my favorite person to ever exist and she just so happens to be a girl."

"All I wanted was a healthy baby but deep down this moment is what I was dreaming of. The weight that was lifted off my shoulders in this moment knowing that dream came true was unlike anything I've felt," the happy husband wrote. "Tay is the strongest person I know and my hero. I can't wait to welcome this baby girl into our world. Team girl!"
Taylor and Tay announced that they are expecting their first baby together on March 26.
The mom-to-be gave an update on her pregnancy journey in the May 13 episode of her podcast, The Squeeze. She said she was struggling with her body image during her second trimester.

"I've never really struggled with comparison, but I've definitely found myself comparing my pregnant body to other pregnant women, especially the women that are weeks away from giving birth and are still all skinny and fit," Tay said. "I'm already not feeling great about myself, but then the comparison aspect of it."
Taylor and Tay, who went public with their relationship in 2018, tied the knot in November 2022.
