Jenna Bush Hager is celebrating her little girl as she becomes a teenager.

The mom of three, 44, shared a special series of Instagram Stories on Monday, April 13, as her daughter Mila turned 13.

"How was this day -- that made me a mama--13 years ago???" Bush Hager first wrote on top of a photo of Mila as a newborn.

Bush Hager, who shares daughters Mila and Poppy, 10, as well as son Hal, 6, with husband Henry Hager, also shared a sweet video of the birthday girl as a baby, where Hager and Bush Hager can be heard gushing over their little girl in the background.

The Today with Jenna and Sheinelle co-host then shared a more recent photo with Mila as the two smiled and hugged each other. "Happiest birthday to my dream girl," Bush Hager added.

Last week, the mom of three revealed the key advice she gives her daughter, Mila, for dealing with people who might not be very nice.

She began by speaking with co-host Sheinelle Jones about how the pressures kids are under these days are different than when they were growing up. The two then shifted to discuss how they help their kids deal with "mean girls."

“It’s so funny because I feel like we live in this world where, and I don’t know where it comes from, but there’s this intense pressure on teens to get into the right schools, to be the best athlete, to have great grades. And we didn’t have that. At all. If you were average, you were fine,” said Hager.

"And you turned out okay!” joked Jones. "No, I’m just kidding.”

“And I also think, it’s like the emphasis is on achievement and success rather than happiness and joy and kindness and friendship,” continued Hager. “And it’s like, as parents, we can help put the emphasis on the things that matter as opposed to pressuring all of these sorts of external things that don’t really matter."

Hager went on to say that there's a specific piece of advice she always tells her daughter, Mila, about how to be a good friend and deal with mean girls.

"So I always tell Mila, I think it was Brené Brown, talks about finding the people that brag on you, that make you feel good," said Hager. "She has this, I think podcast, where she talks about the candle-blowers. So imagine you were like, ‘I have a book out!’ And I was like, ‘Well, so what? I wrote a book.’”

“And they blow that out. I see that,” added Jones.

“As opposed to being like, ‘My girl has a book out!’ You know?” continued Hager. “You want the people…”

“Who aren’t going to blow out your candle,” finished Jones. “Oh, I love that.”

“I feel like that’s such a good thing to teach kids because it’s…you can feel that,” noted Hager.
