MILWAUKEE (AP) — Milwaukee Brewers left-handed reliever Angel Zerpa has been placed on the injured list because of left forearm tendinitis.

The Brewers announced Wednesday that Zerpa had gone on the 15-day injured list, retroactive to Sunday. They selected left-hander Brian Fitzpatrick from Triple-A Nashville to replace Zerpa on the roster.

Zerpa, 26, is 0-2 with a 6.39 ERA and two saves in 12 appearances. He allowed at least one earned run in each of his last three outings.

The Brewers acquired Zerpa from Kansas City in a December trade that sent outfielder Isaac Collins and right-hander Nick Mears to the Royals.

Fitzpatrick, who turns 26 on June 1, was 1-1 with a 0.00 ERA in 10 relief appearances with Nashville. He struck out 11 and allowed only two unearned runs over 10 1/3 innings.

The 6-foot-7 reliever went 5-4 with a 3.59 ERA in 38 appearances in the minors last season.

The Brewers also announced that outfielder Luis Matos had cleared waivers and was outrighted to Nashville. Matos, 24, hit .200 with a .238 on-base percentage and no homers or RBIs in nine games with Milwaukee.

Haack's champagne line Clé Cachée was brought to life during a previous Napa Valley trip with her boyfriend, whom she's been dating since the fall of 2024

The HGTV star was deeply involved in creating her champagne and traveled to France to perfect the product, she previously told PEOPLE

Christina Haack and her boyfriend Chris Larocca are enjoying the romance of California's wine country!

The Flip Off star, 42, shared a carousel of photos and videos from her and Larocca's recent getaway to the picturesque region in Northern California in an April 26 Instagram post. Haack, who has her own champagne line called Clé Cachée, joked in the caption: “Wine country 🍷❤️- I like to call it ‘researching.'”

Alongside her playful message, Haack's post included a photo of the lovebirds posing together against a scenic backdrop while holding glasses of wine.

The next few slides revealed a selfie of the pair sitting outside and soaking up the sunshine, followed by more snaps of the wine they enjoyed together during their getaway.

“What an amazing trip!! Thank you for planning literally everything!!! Love you,” Larocca commented on his girlfriend's post, to which Haack replied back, “Love you baby.”

Speaking to PEOPLE ahead of her brand's launch in 2025, the HGTV star revealed Clé Cachée became more than just a dream during a trip to Napa Valley with Larocca, whom she's been dating since the fall of 2024.

"I've been a champagne girl for as long as I can remember,” she told PEOPLE at the time, adding that her "obsession" turned into a business plan during the previous getaway with her boyfriend.

Of how the product came to fruition, Haack says she was heavily involved in the development process and even traveled to Europe to perfect the beverage before its release.

"I didn't just slap my name on a bottle. I picked everything, from the finest Grand Cru grapes to the sugar content," she said, noting that she took multiple trips to Reims and Épernay in France to learn more as she developed the product.

She wanted to make sure she was fully involved in every detail, as the line is the first company she's launched aside from her interior design business, Christina & Kylie.

“I've been really picky about putting my name on things," she added, "and this is my first product where I touched every single detail of it from conception to execution."

Months after the brand's launch, Haack frequently appears in promo videos for her champagne line, including her most recent “This or That” clip, in which she said “no thanks” to trending weight loss drugs and chose her champagne instead.

Larocca has also made an appearance for some of the brand's promo, including a steamy photoshoot he and Haack did together back in December.

The album's title track, which interpolates Meredith Brooks' "Bitch," will be released on May 1

A new Lizzo album is finally on its way.

The Grammy-winning singer and rapper announced her upcoming album, Bitch, on Monday, April 27 — her 38th birthday — and explained in a statement how she hopes to reclaim the often offensive term through the project.

"Reclaiming the word Bitch is power," began Lizzo. "It’s taking a label once used to diminish women and turning it into a declaration of confidence, and unapologetic self-love."

The Yitty CEO previously referred to herself as "100% that bitch" on her hit single "Truth Hurts," but she's not the only artist who's flipped the term. "So many incredible women in music have used the word for positivity like Meredith Brooks and Missy [Elliott]," added Lizzo, referencing Brooks' hit "Bitch" and Elliott's "She's a Bitch."

"It was only fitting to name my album Bitch because it has become my favorite word when using it on my own terms," continued Lizzo's statement, "and because I am 100% that bitch!"

She also shared the album cover, a photo of a hand holding up Lizzo's body in place of a middle finger, on Instagram and wrote, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME! To celebrate I present to you — MY NEW ALBUM 𝖡̶𝖨̶𝖳̶𝖢̶𝖧̶ COMING JUNE 5TH."

The "Good as Hell" musician will release the album's title track, which interpolates Brooks' "Bitch," on Friday, May 1. She previously debuted the song live at WeHo Pride in June 2025.

Lizzo released the first single of the Bitch era, "Don't Make Me Love U," last month alongside a music video.

Bitch will mark the star's first new project since last year's My Face Hurts from Smiling mixtape, which featured collaborations with SZA, Doja Cat, Lil Jon and Tierra Whack.

Lizzo previously announced that her next studio album would be called Love in Real Life, and she released two songs from the unreleased project: its title track and "Still Bad." She performed both tracks on Saturday Night Live last year along with "Don't Make Me Love U."

Beyond music, Lizzo is gearing up to release her first children's book, Lil Lizzo Meets Sasha B. Flootin’, in September. She's also set to play Sister Rosetta Tharpe in an upcoming Amazon MGM biopic about the gospel icon.

After a successful 2025 movie run with projects including Netflix's My Oxford Year and The Life List, Sofia Carson is ready for more.

The actress, who hosted the Academy's Scientific and Technical Awards on Tuesday, April 28, tells PEOPLE that as she approaches the next chapter in her career, her priorities include “just being very selective of what I dedicate myself to next and crafting this next chapter of my career and my story, which I'm very excited about."

“There's a lot that I'm dying to share that I haven't been able to share,” the Purple Hearts star adds. “But I'm very excited to hopefully be able to do that very soon.”

As this year's Scientific and Technical Awards host, Carson presented 15 achievements to 27 individuals who have made great scientific and technical contributions to the film industry.

In her opening remarks onstage at the Academy of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles, Carson expressed her deep admiration for those who work to make movies come to life.

“I am honored to be here to celebrate your scientific sorcery, which pushes the boundaries of cinematic imagination,” Carson began. “Even though I am in front of the camera, I am in awe of what goes on behind it. Simply put, I love learning all the scientific slide of hand.”

The Carry-On star offered up some humor, telling the crowd she wanted to impress them with her knowledge of technical film jargon. She went on to repeat the words “arbitrarily layered micro facet surfaces” three times as the crowd erupted in laughter.

“Now, onto the reason we are all gathered here, this beautiful evening. It is time to give out some awards,” Carson concluded.

The first Kentucky Derby I covered was in 2002 for Sports Illustrated, replacing the great Bill Nack, the type of writer you never want to follow onto a beat. However, there was no line outside the editor’s office, and I had been writing about racing on and off since the late 1970s because my early jobs were near Saratoga and my intermediate stop was in New York, where newspapers also cared about racing until the last decade or so.

That Derby was won by War Emblem, a small-boned speedball who stole the race on the front end after having been sold by his geriatric owner to Saudi Arabian Prince Ahmed bin Salman for $900,000 three weeks before. Asked in the post-race press conference if he had “bought the Derby,” the Prince said, “Everybody buys the Derby.”

A year later, Funny Cide’s owners bought the Derby for $75,000, including $5,000 each from high school buddies from a small town in the upstate New York hinterlands. Two years, two wildly different tales. And ever since, the Kentucky Derby is the most static and reliable piece of the American sports calendar. It has been contested almost annually without interruption since 10 years after the end of the Civil War, and on the first Saturday in May for almost a century. It will be attended by roughly 150,000 fans, kings and commoners, wearing hats and drinking mint juleps.

So you can count on Saturday’s 152nd Kentucky Derby. But only to a point.

The top-seeded Detroit Pistons are on the brink of elimination.

Silent Tactic is out of the Kentucky Derby because of a foot injury, trainer says

Because for all its familiarity — you can add the ancient twin spires and the singing of “My Old Kentucky Home” (controversial lyrics and all) to the mix — the Derby is also one of most unpredictable sporting events of the year. Hunter S. Thompson famously called it “Decadent and Depraved,” for reasons very unrelated to horse racing. It could just as well be called “Chaotic and Capricious.”

Among my 22 Derbies covered, I’ve seen dominant performances by deserving winners like Smarty Jones (2004), Barbaro (2006), Big Brown (2008), California Chrome (2014), American Pharoah (2015), and Justify (2018). But I’ve also seen favorites get beaten, like Fierceness two years ago, because a very good colt was not good at all on Derby Saturday and finished 15th; and Journalism last year, because a very good colt was actually quite good on Derby Saturday, but another horse — Sovereignty — was strikingly better and would prove in subsequent months to be the best of his class by a wide margin.

More astonishingly, in 2005, I watched Giacomo storm down the homestretch in the middle of the track, picking off exhausted stragglers worn out by a speed duel, to win at 50-1 odds. Four years later, I saw Mine That Bird and fearless jockey Calvin Borel fly down the rail to also win at 50-1. Then in 2022, Rich Strike got into the field only because another horse withdrew the day before and snaked through the home stretch to win at odds longer than 80-1.

This volatility is a product of the race’s parameters themselves: The Derby is for three-year-olds. (Horses can only run it once; never dismiss the need to say that out loud). Three-year-old horses in the spring of the year are fast-developing athletes, often likened by racing insiders to human teenagers. The winner of the Derby can be a horse that came into maturity only in the weeks leading up to the race. The event is also run at a distance of 1 1/4 miles and with a 20-horse field; none of the horses in the field has seen those conditions, nor will they ever see them again. It is both an enduring athletic test and a crapshoot.

So Happy runs on the track during the morning training for the 152nd Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs on Tuesday in Louisville, Ky. (Andy Lyons / Getty Images) (Andy Lyons)

But one aesthetic prevails: The Derby will give. Perhaps this year it will give to Santa Anita Derby winner So Happy’s trainer Mark Glatt, who lost his wife, Dena, in February. Perhaps it will give to controversial billionaire owner Mike Repole, who in addition to endlessly making his own voice heard in the sport’s hallways, has never won its biggest race and once again has the favorite, Renegade (although he is stuck in the No. 1 post position, which hasn’t produced a winner in 40 years). Perhaps it will give it to Riley Mott, who has two horses entered, trying to win the roses one year after his father, Bill Mott, won with Sovereignty. A generational win like that hasn’t happened in 78 years. Better still, Bill also has a horse entered. Perhaps it gives them the first ever father-son exacta.

Regardless, there will be tears. That is a certainty. You win the Derby, you cry.

- Maitland Ward says her pivot to adult film has been much more lucrative than her days on *Boy Meets World*.

- The actress reveals her income from both ventures in an upcoming episode of the Investigation Discovery series, *Hollywood Demons*.

- Ward added that she felt like "a product being sold" while working in mainstream Hollywood.

Maitland Ward has no regrets about her pivot to the adult film industry.

Recently, the former *Boy Meets World** *star has been opening up about how her big career change allowed her to take ownership of her life and career. On an upcoming episode of *Hollywood Demons*, the Investigation Discovery series, Ward compares both her experience and her earnings from the beloved sitcom to what she now gets for starring in adult films.

"On *Boy Meets World*, I think I made $20,000 or $25,000 an episode," Ward, 49, revealed during the episode set to air on Monday, April 27, per Us Weekly.

She added that with a TV show, there is also the constant fear of being fired or written off at any moment.

"You don't have all the guarantees out there," she explained. "In porn or OnlyFans, I can get six figures a month."

Ward argued that now her paycheck has a much higher ceiling and more longevity. "There is also my adult film sales and I am creating this brand," she continued. "I can make it go for as long as I want it to go.”

Ward, who joined *Boy Meets World* as Rachel McGuire in season 6, rose to fame in the '90s and early aughts with roles like Brittany in *White Chicks* and Jessica Forrester on *The Bold and the Beautiful*. In 2019, she shifted away from mainstream acting to the adult industry via cosplay, immediately scoring awards for her work and cultivating a massive following. In the years since, Ward has argued that she feels much more empowered as an adult film star then she ever did as a young Hollywood actress.

During a recent sit-down with Fox News, Ward said, "I can't speak to how Hollywood is today because it's such a different animal than it was back when I was getting into it. Back then, I think they looked at these young actors as like property coming in. And I really believe the studios, they wanted to mold and form these young actors into what they wanted them to be, what they needed them to be for the company and for the audience, to what they felt would identify with."

She added that it was a "factory"-like environment.

"You were just a product being sold, and you knew that yourself," Ward continued. "I mean, I didn't think anything was wrong at the time with anything that was going on really. I mean it felt ill at ease in my own body and all my feelings and stuff, but I thought that was just me being stupid. I have to be professional. I have to be part of that Hollywood machine. And that's really what it was."

Speaking to the outlet last year, Ward said that she is now treated with "more respect" and the freedom to shape her career, adding, "I'm able to create my own brand, my own content, the way I want to create it."

She continued, "Just to be naked by myself and be confident in my body and myself, I would never have been able to do that [before]. Porn has really given that to me — that empowerment, to be able to stand in my own skin, to be able to create projects that I want to create and be proud of, to go against the mold and do something that other people haven't done."

Ward added that shooting adult films has been "the most comfortable I have ever felt on a set," especially when it comes to intimate scenes because "nobody is shy to have the conversation or backs away from it."

*Hollywood Demons: Child Stars Gone Wild* premieres Monday, April 27, on Investigation Discovery. Episodes are available to stream on HBO Max.
