Danica McKellar is throwing it all the way back for her son’s 16th.

In a post shared on Instagram on Monday, Sept. 7, The Wonder Years star, 51, marked her only child Draco’s milestone birthday with a series of recent and throwback snaps, including the first-ever photo she took with him.

The sweet photo saw McKellar cradling her son in a hospital bed as she gazed down adoringly at him. The little one was swaddled in a white blanket and wearing a white hat as his mom wrapped her arms around him.

“How is my baby 16?? 🥲❤️,” McKellar’s caption began. “Here’s the first picture I ever took with you, and the most recent, and then lots of pictures in between!”

The proud mom then gushed over her teen son, writing, “Draco, I love you so much and I’m so proud of the (tall!) young man you’ve become!! Happy birthday!!!! 🤗🤗.”

The first photo in the carousel was followed by the most recent shot of the pair, with Draco towering over his mom as they posed in smart attire.

While McKellar wore a knee-length gray dress, skinny black belt and matching heels, Draco sported a crisp white shirt, dark suit and light blue tie.

Other photos included more baby snaps, Draco joining his mom at a red carpet event as a child and him showing off his very impressive piano skills in a clip.

Along with music, the teen also appears to have a love for math, with McKellar sharing a snap of a young Draco writing out equations on a chalkboard.

The actress shares Draco with her ex-husband Mike Verta. The former couple married in March 2009 and welcomed Draco in September 2010.

They announced the birth of Draco in a statement shared with PEOPLE at the time, saying, “We are humbled, overjoyed and so grateful for this miraculous gift. It’s like we’ve only now just learned the true meaning of love.”

McKellar filed for divorce from Verta, a composer, in June 2012.

Earlier this year, McKellar shared an unexpected story about her birth experience with Draco.

While appearing on Bobby Bones’ The BobbyCast podcast in March, she recalled being encouraged to try her placenta by her doula following Draco’s arrival.

“My doula said, do you want to taste the placenta? I’d just given birth,” she said, adding that “you’re not in your right mind” after going through the birthing process.

“And I’m like, sure,” she continued. “She gave me a piece of it. Bobby, it was like the best filet mignon that I have evertasted. But more.”

“I was embarrassed about how much I loved it,” she said. “It was bizarre. I thought, what is this, some sort of weird satanic...”

Interrupting, Bones, 46, jokingly added, “Am I a cannibal?”

Donald Trump has posted an edited video on social media appearing to show King Charles ignoring a fainting man.

In the reworked clip, an Asda worker collapsed in front of the monarch before he put his hand in his pocket and appeared to walk away.

However, the actual video, taken in 2020, shows that the King did in fact attempt to stop the supermarket employee from falling and only stepped away when it was clear the man was receiving medical attention.

The US president shared the clip on his Truth Social platform as part of a montage of world leaders seeming to ignore people in distress or being disrespectful.

In contrast, Mr Trump is depicted as “the people’s president”, greeting troops and police officers, honouring the war dead, hugging elderly veterans and being a doting husband.

It is not clear that the president, who considers himself a good friend of the King, was aware of the video’s implication.

The three-minute social media clip, published during the Labour Day public holiday in the US, claimed to depict “the side of Trump the media doesn’t show you”.

The segment that included the King was from more than six years ago when he was the then Prince of Wales, along with the Duchess of Cornwall, visiting an Asda distribution centre in Bristol.

A staff member is seen chatting to the future King before his legs gave way and he fell backwards to the ground.

The shortened clip used by Mr Trump shows the royal appearing to throw up his hands in helplessness, before swiftly turning to walk away from the collapsed man, seemingly unmoved.

However, the full footage showed Charles putting out his arm to try and catch the supermarket worker.

Visibly concerned, he then remained close by as the man received medical attention.

He only moved away after his security detail reassured him the individual was all right.

The man quickly recovered and was later able to carry on his conversation with Charles.

Mr Trump is an enthusiastic supporter of the Royal family and the only US president to have had two official state visits. His fascination with the Royals is thought to be rooted in his respect for Elizabeth II, whom he met twice.

Last week, he said he had had a “good relationship” with the King while criticising the Duke and Duchess of Sussex for being “terribly disrespectful” towards the Royal family.

During the King’s US visit in April, he described the King as a “brave” and “fantastic” man.

Other figures portrayed in a negative way in the social media video were Emmanuel Macron, the French president, who is shown indifferently walking past a ceremonial guard who had collapsed at the Élysée Palace.

The video also gave an uncomplimentary portrayal of Joe Biden and Barack Obama, both former Democrat presidents.

Mr Biden is shown apparently checking his watch during a sombre ceremony, while Mr Obama is seen giving his so-called “latte salute” to his marine guards as he stepped off the presidential helicopter with a paper cup in hand.

Oscar-winning actress Susan Sarandon was promoting her new film The Echo Chamber at the ongoing Venice Film Festival when she claimed that her support for Palestine has allegedly led her to lose out on job opportunities in Hollywood.

“I’ve still had movies taken away recently because there are agencies that are telling people not to hire me still. But that’s the power structure. I think [among] people, certainly internationally, I feel welcome,” Sarandon, 79, stated in a panel.

Netizens appeared to disagree with the veteran actress. Civil rights lawyer and law professor Sherrilyn Ifill wrote on Threads:

“That’s not the reason, Susan.”

Many people joined the conversation on X. Some even claimed Susan Sarandon was blackballed from the industry not because of her pro-Palestine stance, but because of her support for Donald Trump over Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential election.

“She aggressively attacked Hillary in 2016 for some crazed reason. ‘Thelma and Louise’ was the last for me. Deuces, Susan Sarandon,” a user wrote.

“She should have been permanently shut out of Hollywood for her interference in the 2016 presidential election that resulted in Trump,” another user claimed.

“I doubt she’s blacklisted. Ruffalo, Bardem, and many other outspoken actors haven’t been, so I doubt she is tbh. Maybe it’s her tacit support for Trump that made people not want to employ her,” an individual added.

Others continued to chime in.

“Let's not forget her political position that there was no difference between Trump and Clinton, a position she doubled down on. That may have had something to do with getting jobs,” one person noted.

“Maybe if you left your political views out of the workplace, you would have a job????” a netizen commented.

“Remember 2016 when Susan told us that Hillary would be worse for the country than Donald Trump ever would be? Boy, that aged well, didn’t it?” a user sarcastically wrote.

At the recent event, the Dead Man Walking actress stated:

“I think that the narrative has completely changed in terms of the historical relevance of Palestine and the ties of Zionists with America and our politics. That has been a major revelation for people… So, now there are a lot of things people are aware of. So, that has changed in terms of power structure.”

Susan Sarandon turned to Andrea Pallaoro, the director of her new film, and thanked him for casting her, adding:

“So, it depends. If it’s a major studio, I think it’s not just with me but with other people who have been told that it is impossible in terms of being able to do this film. I thank Andrea for that because he didn’t listen to the warnings.”

The New Yorker, who walked the red carpet wearing an “Artists for Ceasefire” pin at the Venice Film Festival, also mentioned:

“So, yes, I think there has been a change in terms of understanding the situation and I think the general public, but there are still very strongly held positions within my industry that are held by Zionists and who have not relaxed their feelings towards me. But I found my family, I found my people, and I’m okay.”

Exploring what Susan Sarandon said about Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton

In early 2016, Susan Sarandon, who had been a longtime supporter of Bernie Sanders, revealed that she wasn’t sure she would vote for Hillary Clinton over Donald Trump in the presidential election. She appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and shared a picture of herself with Clinton.

“Look at how happy we were. Then I had to break up with her,” Sarandon quipped, referring to Hillary’s views on the Iraq War, fracking, minimum wage, and more.

“So, I was like, ‘Who is this person? I can’t trust her?’” the actor noted.

Susan Sarandon told Stephen Colbert the country needed a leader who has the “moral judgment beforehand, not when it’s safe.” She further clarified her stance:

“I’m more afraid of Hillary Clinton’s war record and hawkishness than I am of building a wall. But that doesn’t mean I would vote for Trump.”

In a November 2016 interview with BBC Newsnight, Susan Sarandon suggested bringing in a “new party” instead of continuing to vote for the “lesser of the two evils.” She pushed to get the independent candidates to five percent and claimed Clinton was “almost certainly gonna win” given the backing from the press, the networks, the newspapers, and the people.

Susan Sarandon claimed she wouldn’t worry about Trump winning the election but rather about real issues such as wars, Syria, TPP, fracking, and the environment.

“No matter who gets in, they don’t address these things because money has taken over our system. So, for me, it doesn’t matter,” she explained.

When the interviewer asked whether Bernie Sanders’ support for Hillary Clinton carried “no weight” for Sarandon, she replied that Bernie also said to not listen to him and “vote your heart.” When asked if it would make her happy to have Clinton as the first female U.S. President, Susan said she wanted the “right woman.”

“I don't vote with my v****a. This is bigger than that. This is bigger than… who wins the election,” the ‘Thelma & Louise’ star added.

That same year, Susan Sarandon shocked MSNBC host Chris Hayes by saying:

“People feel Donald Trump will bring the revolution immediately.”

Following Trump’s win, she told Vulture in May 2017:

“I’m certainly not in any way defending Trump; let me go on the record to say that, because people seem to want to say that I am. I think he’s a horrible person, and he’s really dangerous. But the good news about Trump is that he has exposed all the cracks that are in our system, and now the light can get in.”

Sarandon continued:

“Now we have a guy who is so clumsy and so obvious that suddenly people are awake, and that’s a very good thing. Do you want to call it the revolution? Certainly, there are many more people, because of Bernie Sanders, who are running for these local offices.”

Susan explained that for eight years, the country was run by a “cool guy President”, and Trump was bringing in transparency because he is “so obvious.”

Ahead of the 2016 election and amid her MSNBC interview, Susan Sarandon faced criticism from fans and industry insiders alike. She feuded with Debra Messing on X (formerly Twitter). Jamie Lee Curtis posted that while she had respect for Sarandon, she disagreed with her and with choosing Trump over Clinton, describing it as “dangerous” for women, minorities, and immigrants. Susan responded that she would “never support Trump for any reason” and refuted that that’s what she meant in her interview.

Sarandon was previously dropped by her talent agency, UTA, in 2023, seemingly after attending pro-Palestinian rallies and her vocal advocacy.

Che Simmons joined Warwickshire's academy as a teenager after moving to the UK from Barbados

Gloucestershire have signed fast bowler Che Simmons on loan from Warwickshire for the rest of the season ahead of a permanent move in 2027.

The 22-year-old will be available for Gloucestershire's remaining three games of the County Championship season and has agreed a two-year deal starting next season.

Simmons made his County Championship debut for the Bears in 2024 but has only played in three first-class matches since.

He said the opportunity to play regular first-team cricket was a "big factor" in his decision to move to a new team.

Gloucestershire director of cricket Jon Lewis said: "[Simmons] is a hugely talented young cricketer with a very high ceiling, and while he's played a lot of cricket in Warwickshire's second team, we felt this was an opportunity for him to take the next step and showcase his abilities at first-team level."

The Longhorns got off to a strong start to the season, dominating Texas State 59-7. This week, the dial gets turned up multiple notches, as Ohio State comes to Austin for a Top 5 matchup. The Buckeyes, like Texas, got a comfortable 56-3 win over Ball State in Week One. Similar to last season, it’ll be the No. 1 team in the country going on the road, with a betting line under 2 points, according to BetMGM.

Here’s how the Buckeyes stack up coming into Austin this weekend:

Ohio State Buckeyes Offense

As you can imagine, this Buckeyes offense is incredibly dangerous. The Julian Sayin-Jeremiah Smith combination looked as lethal as ever in Week One, with Smith reeling in 8 catches for 151 yards and two scores. Devin McCuin, the UTSA transfer, shined as well, racking up 6 catches for 97 yards and a score. Sayin was his normal self, completing over 80% of his passes, totalled 320 yards and 3 TDs. The passing offense is, predictably, one of the toughest in the country to defend.

The run game looked solid against Ball State, averaging 6.8 yards/carry. Florida transfer Ja’Kobi Jackson, Bo Jackson, Legend Bey and Isaiah West all flashed. Like the Texas backfield, there were a few explosive runs that aided the overall numbers, but the talent in the backfield is clear. Once again like Texas, the offensive line had minor lapses in the run game but put together a positive performance. Overall, it’s the offense many expected to see from Ohio State: explosive, fast and talented. Will Muschamp will have his hands full preparing for Arthur Smith and this Buckeye offense.

Ohio State Buckeyes Defense

A major storyline of the offseason was the departures on the defensive side of the ball. Caleb Downs, Arvell Reese and Sonny Styles all went in the Top 11 of the NFL Draft, leaving tons of experience and talent to replace. Well, the reloaded defense passed with flying colors in Week One, giving up just 165 total yards, giving up 3.2 yards/pass and 2 yards/rush. It was absolute domination from the Buckeyes in Week One, as many would expect against Ball State.

The Buckeyes have NFL players on every level of this defense. Kenyatta Jackson Jr. is a top tier edge rusher that led the country in pressures this weekend, according to PFF. In the linebacking core, Riley Pettijohn, Tarvos Alford, Payton Pierce and Christian Alliegro are all future NFL players. Devin Sanchez, Earl Little, Jermaine Matthews and more lead a remarkably talented secondary. This is not a unit that’ll give Arch Manning and company many openings. They’ll need to take advantage of the openings when they present themselves.

Ohio State Buckeyes Special Teams

Considering the offensive success, there was not much learned about the Buckeyes special teams in Week One. Connor Hawkins, Baylor transfer and starting kicker, attempted just extra points, making all seven. Senior punter Joe McGuire only punted three times on Saturday, averaging 41 yards/punt. Ohio State finished 67th in the country on special teams, according to SP+. It’s hard to know how much that has been improved upon after Week One.

Ohio State Buckeyes Overall

Breaking News: Ohio State is very good. This is a team, like Texas, that has future NFL talent in every position group. The WR room, led by Jeremiah Smith, is one of the best in the country. The RB room is pack-filled with dangerous players with the ball in their hands. Finally, the facilitator of the offense, Julian Sayin, is one of the most efficient, accurate QBs in recent college football memory. On defense, they lost quite a bit to the NFL Draft, but seemingly “reloaded” as they always do.

The coaching staff consists of 1 of 4 head coaches to have a National Championship on their resume, along with two former NFL head coaches as coordinators. Needless to say, this is an elite program with top-tier players and coaches. They will present all types of issues for the Longhorns that Sarkisian and company will need to answer. Many are dubbing it an “all-time game” and it definitely has the makings of one.

British driver thanks rival for saving his life in horrific motor-racing crash

British driver Ollie Millroy said he is “still alive entirely thanks to one man” after rival Loek Hartog stopped and rescued him from a burning Ferrari during a motor race on Saturday.

Millroy was involved in a multi-car crash on the seventh lap of the China GT Championship race in Shanghai. He suffered six broken ribs, a broken collarbone, broken ⁠hand and finger, and a ⁠partially collapsed lung, according to his wife Fern.

Dutch racer Hartog abandoned his own race to rush to Millroy’s burning car, using a fire extinguisher to douse the flames before pulling the Briton free from the wreckage.

Millroy wrote on Instagram: “I am still alive tonight, entirely thanks to one man. Loek Hartog stopped instantly with no flag marshals or fire crews in sight, and risked his own life to get me out of the car.

“I don't remember anything between 30 seconds before the crash and one hour after it, ‌but I will remember his incredible ‌act of bravery for the rest of my life.

“One day I will tell our three kids this story and Loek will be the biggest superhero in history in their eyes too.”

Millroy’s AAI Motorsport team said it would “no longer participate in any races organised by China GT” in a statement criticising the handling of the incident and standards of safety at the race.

It said “no timely and effective firefighting and rescue operations were seen”, with the car burning for “more than a minute” after the accident occurred.

The race was red-flagged but no safety marshals responded immediately to the accident, with 23-year-old Hartog grabbing the fire extinguisher from a nearby official and intervening himself.

The statement continued: “What might have happened if that driver hadn't stepped up today?

“We accept the inherent dangers of motorsports, but we absolutely cannot accept a driver being exposed to avoidable death.”

Race organisers said they ‌would investigate the incident ⁠and address “shortcomings” in competition management, emergency ⁠response, rescue operations and medical support.

The race did not resume after the crash occurred.

Hartog commented on Millroy’s post: “You have nothing to thank me for. I wish to live in a world where this would not be considered as bravery but as instinct of others too. I am so thankful to have been right at the place I needed to be in space and time.”

The Dutchman later wrote in a separate Instagram post: “When I saw a car ⁠turning into a huge fireball far ahead, there wasn't really a decision to make.

“From what I had seen, I genuinely believed the driver might not be able to get out by himself. I stopped, got out and went towards the car. There was never a moment of doubt. I’m sure many people in my position would have reacted exactly the same way.”

The world’s first armless racing driver steers with his feet and is aiming for Le Mans.

Callum Smith, 23, was born without his upper limbs but now races at high speed using his feet alone.

He has become the first completely armless person in the world to drive a racing car after signing a contract with Team BRIT, a racing team for disabled drivers.

Mr Smith, a finance assistant from Nuneaton, Warwickshire, drives by steering using his left foot and accelerating, braking and indicating with his right.

“I’m going to be the first person to be racing without any arms, the first one ever,” he said. “I grew up in the motorsport world, my grandad was a massive biking fan and I loved it from such a young age.

“Once I started getting into driving, I always had that self-belief that I had what it took to be a racing driver and knew that I could do it.”

Despite his disability, Mr Smith, whose birth without his arms remains a mystery to doctors, has become an accomplished driver.

“I use my left foot to steer, and then the right foot does everything else as normal,” he said. “On top of the accelerator, I have an indicator switch – I have a Lodgeson’s Bleeper System, which gives me buttons for the horn, main beam, window wipers, etc.

“I steer with my left foot. It’s a steering wheel in the footwell that operates the steering wheel.”

He added: “My feet are like my hands – I write with my right foot, I play Xbox with my feet like FIFA and Call of Duty.

“I play guitar with my feet, and I eat by myself using a normal knife and fork.”

Mr Smith is now working towards his full racing licence, something that requires him to prove he can undo his harness and open the car door unaided.

“It’s hard, there’s a lot of eye-to-foot coordination,” he said. “The biggest surprise to me is how heavy the steering feels in a race car, everything is stiffer.

“But I love it and I’m quite keen to get it sorted, I’m motivated to get it done. Confidence I’m not short of, but it’s going to be a lot of hard work.”

Mr Smith is seeking sponsors to allow him to go full time before a year-long training programme.

Bartosz Osta&lstrokowski, from Poland, is the world’s only professional racing and drifting driver who operates his car using only his feet, after his arms were partially amputated following a motorcycle accident.

However, Mr Smith is the first driver without any arms at all to have signed a racing contract with a team – and he is highly motivated to be successful.

“I want to be number one,” he said. “Whatever championship I compete in, I want to be number one. I’m not there to collect a participation trophy – I want to be top.”
