- Bruce Dern played George, the owner of Spahn Ranch, in the 2019 movie* Once Upon a Time in Hollywood*.

- The actor says that, during shooting, director Quentin Tarantino scolded costar Brad Pitt when he cut, even telling him that his career would suffer if he did that again.

- Pitt and Tarantino previously worked together on the 2009 movie *Inglourious Basterds.*

At least one moment on the *Once Upon a Time in Hollywood* set was no fairytale.

Director Quentin Tarantino admonished his star Brad Pitt during the making of the 2019 film, actor Bruce Dern recalled in an interview with PEOPLE at the Cannes Film Festival.

The '60s-set dramedy about Leonardo DiCaprio's Rick Dalton trying to make a comeback in the entertainment industry features a scene in which Pitt's Cliff Booth (Dalton's stuntman) comes to visit Dern's George Spahn, the owner of a ranch where movies were once filmed that has been taken over by the Manson Family. Booth wants to check on his elderly friend, because he doesn't trust the unfamiliar young men and women staying there, so he visits Spahn in his trailer.

"When Brad Pitt wakes me up, I'm in the bed and I get up and I'm a little groggy and stuff, and I just say, 'I'm not really sure what's going on,'" Dern recalled. "I'm looking at him. [Pitt] cut the camera. He cut the camera. The look on Quentin's face — I mean, he was insanely grave — and he said, 'Brad, what did you just do?' He said, 'Well, I cut the camera.'"

As Dern recalled, Tarantino said, "'Never again in your life will you ever cut a camera, or you'll be dead in this business. That's my domain. Don't stop behavior.' So then we went on and did the scene and all Brad did was say to him, 'Well, that wasn't in the script what he said.'"

Laura Dern and father Bruce Dern make first joint red carpet appearance since Diane Ladd's death

Brad Pitt didn't believe Leonardo DiCaprio when he pointed out his parents on set

Dern noted that he ad-libbed his character's goodbye to Booth: "I don't know who you are, but you touched me today. You came to visit me, now I gotta go back to sleep."

Update: A source tells **, "Quentin and Brad have a great rapport and he is one of Brad’s favorite directors.”

EW has reached out to both Tarantino and Pitt.

The director and Pitt had previously worked together on 2009's *Inglourious Basterds*, which was nominated for eight Academy Awards. Christoph Waltz won the film's only Oscar for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role.

Pitt won the best supporting actor Oscar for his turn as Booth in *Once Upon a Time*, alongside a cast that also included Margot Robbie, Timothy Olyphant, Dakota Fanning, Lena Dunham, and Austin Butler.

The movie was such a hit that a sequel, *The Adventures of Cliff Booth*, is coming to Netflix.

Donald Trump on Friday said he has decided to skip out on his son's wedding, saying his "love for the United States of America" is keeping him in Washington.

Donald Trump Jr. and Bettina Anderson are expected to hold a small, private wedding ceremony for close family. The ceremony will reportedly be held in the Bahamas, according to CNN.

"While I very much wanted to be with my son, Don Jr., and the newest member of the Trump Family, his soon to be wife, Bettina, circumstances pertaining to Government, and my love for the United States of America, do not allow me to do so," Trump wrote on Truth Social.

"I feel it is important for me to remain in Washington, D.C., at the White House during this important period of time. Congratulations to Don and Bettina!" he continued.

After he made the post announcing he would not attend, Turmp jetted off for Upstate New York to stump for Rep. Jr.'s wedding "not good timing" for Trump

Trump previously said he would try to make his eldest son's wedding but added that "it is not good timing for me."

“He’d like me to go, but it’s going to be just a small little private affair, and I’m going to try and make it,” Trump told reporters. "I’m in the midst — I said, you know, this is not good timing for me. I have a thing called Iran and other things. That’s one I can’t win on.”

The president said he'd be attacked by the media regardless of what decision he made.

“That’s one I can’t win on. If I do attend, I get killed. If I don’t attend, I get killed,” he said.

Trump Jr.'s siblings are expected to attend the ceremony.

The wedding will mark Trump Jr.’s second marriage. He was previously married to Vanessa Trump for 12 years before their divorce in 2018. Vanessa Trump is now dating Tiger Woods.

He was also previously engaged to Kimberly Guilfoyle, who is now the U.S. ambassador to Greece and the ex-wife of California Gov. Gavin Newsom, from 2020 to 2024.

Jim Furyk’s place in the game’s lore was sealed in the summer of 2016, when he authored one of the most remarkable rounds the PGA Tour has ever seen — a 12‑under 58 at the Travelers Championship. In a sport that had long treated 59 as an almost mythical barrier, Furyk didn’t just break it; he blew past it, becoming the first to venture into even rarer territory and earning a fitting distinction as golf’s “Mr. 58.”

The performance carried added weight given what had come before. Only six players had ever posted a 59 on Tour at that point — a club Furyk had already joined with a second‑round 59 at the 2013 BMW Championship. With that earlier feat and his record‑setting 58, Furyk became the first player in PGA Tour history to record multiple sub‑60 rounds, a dual achievement that stands as one of the sport’s most enduring benchmarks of scoring brilliance.

Jim Furyk celebrates after shooting a record-setting 58 during the final round of the Travelers Championship at TCP River Highlands on August 7, 2016.

There are a total of 14 rounds of 59 in the history of the PGA Tour, with the first coming when Al Geiberger turned the trick in 1977 at the Memphis Classic.

The most recent player to do so was Jake Knapp at the 2025 Cognizant Classic.

"I'm a woman of a certain age, and, you know, life changes," she shared. "The body changes. You're not going to be the same size that you were when you were 19, 20 years old. But people forget that sometimes and they can say very mean things to you."

- Tom Hardy has reportedly been fired from *MobLand*.

- The actor was allegedly clashing with producers and often late to set.

- Hardy will appear in season 2, but reportedly won't return for future seasons.

Apparently, the relationship between Tom Hardy and *MobLand *couldn't be fixed.

With production completed on season 2 of the Paramount+ crime drama, the Oscar-nominated actor has been fired and won't appear in a possible third season, according to Puck.

The move is shocking given Hardy's top billing on the series, which also stars Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren. Produced by Guy Ritchie, who previously directed Hardy in *RocknRolla*, *MobLand* stars Hardy as Harry Da Souza, the loyal fixer for the Harrigan crime family, led by powerful patriarch Conrad (Brosnan) and his conniving wife Maeve (Mirren).

Puck reports that Hardy allegedly clashed with producers to the point that Jez Butterworth, who co-wrote all of season 1's episodes, threatened to quit, but Hardy was dropped instead. Hardy was also often late to set, attempted to change the dialogue, and wasn't happy that *MobLand* was becoming more of an ensemble show, according to Puck.

The news comes five months after the *Daily Mail* said that Mirren was growing increasingly frustrated with Hardy.

** has reached out to Paramount, 101 Studios, and Hardy for comment.

No matter the issues with Hardy, *MobLand* might have trouble moving on without him. When news of his firing started spreading on social media, fans are declaring that the series might as well end if Hardy isn't involved, considering how his simmering performance was the standout element of season 1.

But this isn't the first time that Hardy's behavior has been considered a hindrance to a production. There was "bad blood" between Hardy and Charlize Theron on 2015's *Mad Max: Fury Road*, and Theron ended up "swearing her head off" at Hardy over his constant tardiness.

"I was in over my head in many ways," Hardy has admitted. "The pressure on both of us was overwhelming at times. What she needed was a better, perhaps more experienced partner in me. That's something that can't be faked. I'd like to think that now that I'm older and uglier, I could rise to that occasion."

Season 2 of *MobLand* is expected to premiere later this year.

Gayle King says she had to make a big sacrifice in her marriage to ex-husband William Bumpus.

The 71-year-old CBS Mornings co-host, who was married to Bumpus from 1982 to 1993, shared during a Friday, May 22, segment that she was forced to give up her dog because of Bumpus.

“I love that you are calling this series ‘Life is Better with Dogs,' because my ex-husband didn't like dogs,” King claimed. “As a matter of fact, I had to get rid of my dog — which should have been a clue. Shouldn't it have been a clue? Go ahead, speak on it! I'm still a little bitter!”

PEOPLE reached out to Bumpus for comment on King's claim.

During the segment, which was with Farmer's Dog co-founder Jonathan Regev, who recently partnered with King's bestie Oprah Winfrey and her new The Oprah Podcast, King opened up about how much she adores man's best friend.

“I love dogs so much. I know the love they can give you. It really is unconditional,” King said. “They don't care what you do or how you do it, they just unconditionally love you.”

In 2016, Bumpus publicly apologized to King after her comments about the infidelity resurfaced from one of her interviews.

“I have been haunted with this life altering choice,” Bumpus told Page Six via a statement from rep Lisa Nkonoki at the time. “Though I have dealt with this privately… I publicly apologize for the major transgression that dramatically changed all of our lives.”

At the time, the former Connecticut Assistant Attorney General added, “I have nothing but the utmost respect for Gayle and how she handled herself with grace. Despite the situation, she kept our children, as well as my relationship and involvement with them, as a clear priority.”

Bumpus called King a “great wife, an excellent mother and a fantastic co-parent.”
