Tristan Thompson revealed his friendship with a member of the Trump family during an interview on Katie Miller's podcast on March 31

The former NBA star said he's "very close with" one of President Donald Trump's sons

He's been like a big brother, mentor, been very welcoming," Thompson said

Former NBA player Tristan Thompson revealed he's "very close" with a member of the Trump family, when asked about his most unexpected celebrity friendship.

Thompson, 35, spoke about his bond with President Donald Trump's son, Eric Trump, while speaking with Katie Miller for the Tuesday, March 31 episode of her podcast.

The Canadian player, who shares two children with reality star Khloé Kardashian, said he's "very close with" Eric, 42, on the episode. "He's been actually great for me. He's been like a big brother, mentor, been very welcoming," Thompson continued.

Thompson said being around Eric has made him interested in politics.

"That's just someone I would say, especially from, you know, the political government world that's really put his arm around me and made me, you know, he's kind of helped motivate me to, like, want to dive into this realm a little bit more," Thompson said.

Elsewhere in the podcast, Thompson also said he is against transgender athletes participating in sports, claiming it could affect his daughter, before adding that he sees "both sides" of the discourse. He also praised the work of the president, telling Miller, "With President Trump, what he's doing first of all, I love what he's done so far for our country. I think he's helped our country a lot."

Thompson never formally announced his retirement from basketball, but the former Cleveland Cavaliers star has taken on new roles since he last played in the NBA in April 2025. He told PEOPLE that June that he joined Axon as a Chief Advisory Officer to help people like his brother, Amari, who is disabled.

Thompson explained at the time: "I think that's why you see this whole narrative change where athletes want to be more than just sports. We want to be businessmen. They want to be creators and developers. And for myself, that's what I want to be. I want to be an innovator. I want to do something that's always being five steps ahead of the curve."

Thompson was also recently announced alongside former Spice Girl Mel B and reality star Dylan Efron as a member of Netflix's new Squid Game: The VIP Challenge cast, where they'll "step into the high stakes game and put their wit, strategy and skillset to the ultimate test," per the official press release.

Dorinda Medley isn't holding back her opinion when it comes to the drama between Summer House stars Ciara Miller, Amanda Batula, and West Wilson after the latter two confirmed their rumored romance on social media Tuesday.

"It's actually making Sandoval look amenable almost," the Real Housewives of New York City alum told cohost Kiki Monique during Tuesday's episode of their SiriusXM podcast, Reality Checked. "Because they were all living together and sleeping by each other and they've gone through years together, years and years and years of growing. Amanda's been with Ciara since she was a young girl. That's a sisterhood. That's a deep bond. That's a soulful relationship. Those are called gifts that we get as women, when you have a bond."

Medley went on, saying, "I remember thinking a couple weeks ago when I saw her wearing this Alexander Wang outfit, Amanda, in a photo shoot, and thinking she really is in a great place. 'She is going to be another Paige DeSorbo, like this is the jumping off [point]; who knows what's going to happen, she's going to have her own show!' She gave it all away for this."

Medley is, of course, referring to fellow reality TV star Tom Sandoval, who sent the Bravo universe into a tailspin when it was revealed in 2023 that he had cheated on his then-girlfriend of nine years, Ariana Madix, with their friend Rachel "Raquel" Leviss. The torrid Vanderpump Rules affair became best known as "Scandoval."

For those who haven't caught the news yet, Wilson and Batula shared the new status of their relationship on Tuesday, weeks after gossip blog DeuxMoi reported that they were allegedly hooking up. While there has been no confirmed timeline of when the controversial relationship between Batula and Wilson began, it's assumed the Summer House stars only recently got together — a little more than a month after Batula and her husband, Kyle Cooke, announced their split in January.

Fans have been vocally concerned about Miller, Wilson's ex and Batula's BFF. Miller and Wilson had a very public breakup after dating for a few months during the show's eighth season. Although their brief dalliance following Wilson's addition to the cast in 2023 ended on less than friendly terms, the pair have maintained a will-they-or-won't-they vibe ever since.

The rumor created ripples throughout the Summer House fandom considering that the show's latest season featured multiple cast members wondering if Miller and Wilson were getting back together, with the latter being notably disturbed when approached by costar Jesse Solomon about possibly kissing Miller if given the chance. At one point in the season, Wilson even referred to Miller as "the love of my life."

In another part of Tuesday's episode, Medley and Monique expressed shock at Batula and Wilson's joint statement. "We've seen the growing online speculation, so while this is still very new, we wanted to provide some clarity," their statement said in part. "We've shown up for each other as friends over the years, through all the highs and lows, and what's developed recently was the last thing either of us expected. Our connection grew out of a genuine, longstanding friendship, which made it especially important for us to approach this with care."

It continued: "We've shown up for each other as friends over the years, through all the highs and lows, and what's developed recently was the last thing either of us expected. Our connection grew out of a genuine, longstanding friendship, which made it especially important for us to approach this with care. As our feelings evolved, we wanted to take time to understand exactly what we were feeling. We also recognize that this has had an impact beyond just us and never wanted our actions to cause any hurt or be perceived as careless."

Medley wryly asked her cohost: "If someone read that to you and said guess who she's talking about, would it ever be West?"

Monique was notably unimpressed. "Yeah, West?! You just met him, are you kidding me? But Dorinda, the part that's really like getting under me, it is a joint statement," she lamented to the Traitors alum. The two of them posted this together, identically. We're in a world where you just posted a joint statement with your soon-to-be ex-husband, now you're posting a joint statement with your friend's guy that she was dating."

"Best friends. Ride or die," Medley noted, referring to Miller and Batula's former friendship.

Monique went on to declare that Batula was "officially dead in my book."

"Like there is no redeeming for me, for her, absolutely none," she said, to which Medley added that Batula went "from hero to zero."

The sentiment from Medley and Monique is not an unpopular one. Several Bravo stars seemingly responded (without actually saying anything) to the rumors in similar tones. Southern Charm's Austen Kroll, who was recently spotted hanging out with Cooke, sent tongues wagging when he seemingly referenced the alleged hookup in an Instagram Story posted that same weekend. "Pasta and f* your friends exes are apparently so back," Kroll wrote.

Summer House newbie KJ Dillard chimed in several times throughout the drama, posting two new Stories on Tuesday. The first was a series of stills of himself, Ciara, and season 10 newbie Mia Calabrese, with the added caption, "I love my big sisters for life." He followed that up a few hours later by writing "logging off..." on top of a Spotify screenshot of the song "Back Stabbers" by The O'Jays.

Both Dillard and Calabrese followed in Miller's footsteps and quietly unfollowed both Batula and Wilson on Instagram after they shared their joint statement. Batula and Wilson have also unfollowed the 30-year-old nurse, signifying a less-than-amicable friendship split.

Neither Cooke nor Miller have spoken out since Batula and Wilson confirmed their romance.

"Minnesota, you gave us hope. You gave us courage," Springsteen told the crowd at the Target Center

Bruce Springsteen paid tribute to Alex Pretti and Renee Nicole Good during his tour kick-off show.

On Tuesday, March 31, the New Jersey-born rocker launched his Land of Hope and Dreams American tour at the the Target Center in Minneapolis, where he uses his platform to address the state of politics.

Per fan-captured YouTube footage from the evening, Springsteen, 76, told the crowd he wanted to "begin the night with a prayer for our men and women overseas" for their "safe return."

"The mighty E Street Band is here tonight to call upon the righteous power of art, of music, of rock 'n' roll in dangerous times," he told the crowd. "We are here in celebration and defense of our American ideals, democracy, our Constitution, and our sacred American promise. The America that I love, the America that I've written about for 50 years, that's been a beacon of hope and liberty around the world, is currently in the hands of a corrupt, incompetent, racist, reckless, and treasonous administration."

Springsteen then asked the audience to join him and the E Street Band "in choosing hope over fear, democracy over authoritarianism, the rule of law over lawlessness, ethics over unbridled corruption, resistance over complacency, unity over division, and peace over war."

After the "Dancing in the Dark" performer said the word "war," he and his bandmates performed Edwin Starr's 1970 classic "War," which they hadn't played since 2003.

Before launching into his recent single "Streets of Minneapolis," Springsteen spoke directly to the community of Minneapolis.

"This past winter, federal troops brought death and terror to the streets of Minneapolis," he said. "Well, they picked the wrong town. The power of solidarity, of the people of Minneapolis, was an inspiration to the entire country. Your strength and your commitment told us this is still America, and this will not stand."

"Minnesota, you gave us hope. You gave us courage. And for those who gave their lives, Renee Good, mother of three, brutally murdered, and Alex Pretti, VA nurse, executed by ICE and left to die in the street without even the decency of our lawless government investigating their deaths. Their bravery, their sacrifice, and their names will not be forgotten," Springsteen said of Good and Pretti, who were both shot by federal agents amid increased ICE activity in Minneapolis earlier this year.

Midway through the song, Springsteen to lead a chant of "ICE out now!"

Springsteen's gig comes after his performance at the No Kings Rally in St. Paul, Minn. on Saturday, March 28, where he performed performed "Streets of Minneapolis."

In a March 23 interview with the Minnesota Star Tribune, he spoke about his decision to perform the track at the political event.

"You want to try to meet the moment," Springsteen said at the time. "The No Kings movement is of great import right now."

He continued, "When you have the opportunity to sing something where the timing is essential and if you have something powerful to sing, it elevates the moment, it elevates your job to another level. And I'm always in search of that."

The event also included Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, Jane Fonda, Joan Baez, Maggie Rogers and more.

Blake Lively's kids are showing off their trickster spirit on April Fools' Day.

On Wednesday, April 1, the Another Simple Favor actress, 38, shared a picture of the prank her kids pulled on her for April Fools' Day. The snap, which she shared on her Instagram Stories, showed her toilet seat covered in plastic wrap and markings.

"I knew I never should've taught them how to read a calendar," she wrote in text over the photo.

The Gossip Girl alum and her actor husband Ryan Reynolds, who wed in 2012, share four children: daughters Betty, 6, Inez, 9, and James, 11, and son Olin, 3.

Lively's post comes after a turbulent year for the star, who is currently scheduled to head to court on May. 18. After starring in the film It Ends With Us, which came out in August 2024, Lively sued director and actor Justin Baldoni in December 2024, alleging sexual harassment and retaliation, which he denies. The legal battle has been playing out in court.

On Saturday, the actress shared a carousel of photos on her Instagram, including a rare shot of one of her four kids.

In the blurry photo, Lively captured what appeared to be the Deadpool actor, 49, holding one of their kids on his shoulders. The two could be seen walking in a garden while Lively snapped the picture from behind. She also included other photos from her trip to England, such as visiting Soho Farmhouse and attending a Wrexham game.

"🇬🇧 🤍 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 so grateful for the best week with my loved ones," Lively wrote in her caption in part.

This past December, Reynolds appeared at The Wall Street Journal's CMO Council Summit and gave a rare comment about his son, Olin. When asked by moderator Maryam Banikarim about a past failure in his life that turned into a learning lesson, Reynolds identified his 2011 superhero movie, Green Lantern, specifically.

"Creatively speaking, it's hard to say. Someone might say Green Lantern," Reynolds quipped.

The dad of four continued, explaining, "You laugh, but my son, it's his favorite movie, and he watches it every f------ day."

"Do you understand the work I've had to do to get to the place where I can just pass by that screen and not go, 'Well, we could have [done something to make it better]?' " Reynolds jokingly asked the audience.

In an August 2024 interview with Vogue, Lively said that her life has become "more intimate" since becoming a mother — and that she's learned how to juggle their needs with her busy schedule.

"Sitting around with them doing chicken dances while I have a very serious conversation with you is probably the most accurate portrait of me possible," she said.

Facebook messages allegedly between Prince Harry and Charlotte Griffiths surfaced in the closing days of his privacy case in London

The Duke of Sussex said he did not know Griffiths was a journalist at the time and cut off contact once he found out

The messages, exchanged over several weeks in 2011 and 2012, were raised as part of Harry's case against Associated Newspapers, publisher of the Daily Mail and Mail on Sunday

Prince Harry exchanged a series of Facebook messages with a journalist over several weeks before realizing she was a reporter, London's High Court has heard.

Documents quoted by The Times and The Daily Telegraph appeared to show Harry, 41, and Charlotte Griffiths, 40, exchanging a handful of personal messages between December 2011 and January 2012, including one in which he allegedly joked about drinking her "under the table" and another that ended with "mwah."

Griffiths — who joined the Mail on Sunday in 2008, served as its diary editor from 2013 to 2020 and is now editor-at-large — in turn referred to time they spent at a house party as a "fun weekend of naughtiness."

Harry told the court that once he realized Griffiths worked for the Mail, he confronted his friend (he admits to meeting her at a weekend with Arthur Landon) and cut off contact with her.

Harry told the court that once he realized Griffiths worked for the Mail, he confronted a friend (he admits to meeting her at a weekend party with Arthur Landon) — who had hosted one of the parties where they crossed paths — and cut off contact with her.

PEOPLE has reached out to a spokesperson for the Duke of Sussex for comment.

The messages surfaced in the closing stages of Harry's privacy case against Associated Newspapers, the publisher of the Daily Mail and Mail on Sunday. Harry and several other high-profile claimants, including Elton John and Elizabeth Hurley, allege the publisher used unlawful methods to gather information. Associated Newspapers denies wrongdoing. Testimony in the case concluded on March 31.

In her evidence, Griffiths said she and Harry were both at a weekend country house party hosted by one of the prince's friends, Arthur Landon.

When he gave evidence at the start of the civil case in January, Harry said none of his close circle spoke to the newspapers and that he was "not friends with any of these journalists." He added that once he discovered Griffiths worked for the Mail, he confronted his friend and cut off contact with her.

Over the 11-week case, the claimants' lawyer David Sherborne argued that a raft of stories about Harry and others could only have come from unlawful information gathering.

A final ruling from Mr. Justice Nicklin is expected at a later date.

During his testimony, Harry was also asked whether he had ever used the name "Mr. Mischief" — after reports that he operated a secret Facebook account under the pseudonym. He denied this, saying he "never used the name Mr. Mischief."

Messages published by The Times and The Daily Telegraph on April 1 indicate that it was Griffiths who seemed to refer to him by that nickname in her Facebook messages, rather than Harry using it himself.

"Hello Mr Mischief . . . What a fun weekend of naughtiness — can't we all get up to no good in the countryside every weekend damn it?? Smooches, CG String," one December 2011 message from Griffiths read, according to The Telegraph and The Times. She was responding to a note allegedly from Harry that said, "It's H, incase u were confused by name and picture!!! X."

Antony White KC, representing Associated Newspapers, told the court on Tuesday that he was responsible for mistakenly claiming that "Mr Mischief" was the name Harry used for himself, rather than the name Griffiths adopted for the prince.

In a message dated Jan. 22, 2012, Griffiths seemingly wrote to him that they had missed him at a mutual friend's home the previous week and said she was in Klosters watching a snow polo match in support of his Sentebale charity. He allegedly replied, "I wish I was there sugar but unfortunately stuck in Cornwall doing Army stuff," and added that he was glad they had raised a lot of money for the charity and joking about drinking her under the table. He then appeared to sign off, "Hope you're really well Griff . . . Miss our movie snuggles!!"

During his earlier testimony in the case, it was also suggested that Harry and Griffiths had met at a house party on the Spanish island of Ibiza. Harry disputed that account, saying, "The only time I have been to Ibiza is with my wife and son." (He and Meghan Markle visited Ibiza in 2019 with their son, Prince Archie, now 6.)

In her witness statement, given later in March, Griffiths said she had met "Prince Harry's friends, including Arthur Landon, at one of those Ibiza house parties and spent some time over the summer in Ibiza with them in 2011 or 2012."

When giving evidence in court, Griffiths said she built her society contacts while attending school in west London and later at the University of Leeds, where she studied at the "same time as Chelsy Davy and continuing to socialize in similar high society circles ever since." Davy dated Prince Harry in the 2000s, and Griffiths said she met Harry through mutual friends.

In her witness statement released March 10, Griffiths also said she chose not to report on Kate Middleton's pregnancy with Prince George after learning the news at a private social gathering.

East Tennessee Children's Hospital, which has been named after Dolly Parton, is praising her contributions to the institution

According to East Tennessee Children's Hospital, the country legend donated "generational and transformational" amounts of money to the infirmary

In February, Parton announced that the healthcare center was being renamed to Dolly Parton Children's Hospital

Dolly Parton is being praised for her generous contributions to East Tennessee Children's hospital, which is now named after her.

Following news that the health center would be renamed in honor of the country legend as Dolly Parton's Children's Hospital, its president and chief executive officer Matt Schaefer opened up about the "surreal moment" of receiving the "Jolene" hitmaker's donation.

In the interview with Chief Healthcare Executive on Monday, March 30, Schaefer praised Parton's "incredibly disarming personality."

"It was truly humbling, and to hear her, in her own words, talk about the importance of this to her, to her community, to this organization, and to children, was super affirming," he said of meeting Parton, 80.

Dolly Parton's Children's HospitalCredit: Dolly Parton Children's Hospital

Schaefer spoke about how, with the "9 to 5" artist's donation, he hoped to expand the hospital's roster of doctors, invest in new programs and technology and increase fundraising.

"I think anytime you have someone of her stature, someone of her standing, certainly in this region, across the United States, across the world, honestly, and to have the halo effect of everything she stood for in her life, including her love for children in particular, it just is fantastic for the future of our mission," he said of Parton.

While Schaefer played coy when it came to revealing the amount Parton donated, he said the sum was "generational and transformational."

"What I can tell you is that she has made a generational and transformational commitment to Children's and its mission, and that commitment is something that goes beyond our wildest expectations, that is beyond generous, and will be a lifeline for this mission for now and for years to come," he said.

Schaefer added, "And we're excited about and humbled by her willingness to do so."

He noted that having the hospital renamed after her will "allow them to tell a broader story about the depth and breadth of services here, to imagine how we can continue to expand those services, and it accelerates how we should think about what our responsibility is to the patients and families that trust us today and invariably will trust us tomorrow."

The partnership with Parton will "amplify and accelerate some of those initiatives in a way that we could not have done otherwise without that type of support and backing and awareness across the region, for providers, for clinicians, for patients, for families and for referring providers," added Schaefer.

In February, Parton shared an Instagram Reel announcing that the East Tennessee Children's Hospital has officially been renamed the Dolly Parton Children's Hospital.

In a video message and collaborative post with the Today show and the official hospital page, she said, "I've always believed that every child deserves a fair chance to grow up healthy, hopeful and surrounded with love. That belief is what brought me together with the incredible folks at East Tennessee Children's Hospital."

Parton continued, "For nearly 90 years, their teams have provided compassionate and talented care. They see children not just as patients, but as precious lives. Each with a story, and a future. I am so excited to share, East Tennessee Children's Hospital is becoming ... guess what? Dolly Parton Children's Hospital. Yay!"

"Together, we're committed to strengthening our relationship where world class care and a caring heart go hand in hand for children across East Tennessee and beyond. And I hope that you'll join me in supporting this work," she said.

Parton concluded by telling fans that she will need the public's help.

"I can't do it all myself! I'm going to need you. So when we come together for our children, there's no limit to what we can do. To learn more or to get involved, visit DollyChildrens.org," she said.
