Facebook messages allegedly between Prince Harry and Charlotte Griffiths surfaced in the closing days of his privacy case in London

The Duke of Sussex said he did not know Griffiths was a journalist at the time and cut off contact once he found out

The messages, exchanged over several weeks in 2011 and 2012, were raised as part of Harry's case against Associated Newspapers, publisher of the Daily Mail and Mail on Sunday

Prince Harry exchanged a series of Facebook messages with a journalist over several weeks before realizing she was a reporter, London's High Court has heard.

Documents quoted by The Times and The Daily Telegraph appeared to show Harry, 41, and Charlotte Griffiths, 40, exchanging a handful of personal messages between December 2011 and January 2012, including one in which he allegedly joked about drinking her "under the table" and another that ended with "mwah."

Griffiths — who joined the Mail on Sunday in 2008, served as its diary editor from 2013 to 2020 and is now editor-at-large — in turn referred to time they spent at a house party as a "fun weekend of naughtiness."

Harry told the court that once he realized Griffiths worked for the Mail, he confronted his friend (he admits to meeting her at a weekend with Arthur Landon) and cut off contact with her.

Harry told the court that once he realized Griffiths worked for the Mail, he confronted a friend (he admits to meeting her at a weekend party with Arthur Landon) — who had hosted one of the parties where they crossed paths — and cut off contact with her.

PEOPLE has reached out to a spokesperson for the Duke of Sussex for comment.

The messages surfaced in the closing stages of Harry's privacy case against Associated Newspapers, the publisher of the Daily Mail and Mail on Sunday. Harry and several other high-profile claimants, including Elton John and Elizabeth Hurley, allege the publisher used unlawful methods to gather information. Associated Newspapers denies wrongdoing. Testimony in the case concluded on March 31.

In her evidence, Griffiths said she and Harry were both at a weekend country house party hosted by one of the prince's friends, Arthur Landon.

When he gave evidence at the start of the civil case in January, Harry said none of his close circle spoke to the newspapers and that he was "not friends with any of these journalists." He added that once he discovered Griffiths worked for the Mail, he confronted his friend and cut off contact with her.

Over the 11-week case, the claimants' lawyer David Sherborne argued that a raft of stories about Harry and others could only have come from unlawful information gathering.

A final ruling from Mr. Justice Nicklin is expected at a later date.

During his testimony, Harry was also asked whether he had ever used the name "Mr. Mischief" — after reports that he operated a secret Facebook account under the pseudonym. He denied this, saying he "never used the name Mr. Mischief."

Messages published by The Times and The Daily Telegraph on April 1 indicate that it was Griffiths who seemed to refer to him by that nickname in her Facebook messages, rather than Harry using it himself.

"Hello Mr Mischief . . . What a fun weekend of naughtiness — can't we all get up to no good in the countryside every weekend damn it?? Smooches, CG String," one December 2011 message from Griffiths read, according to The Telegraph and The Times. She was responding to a note allegedly from Harry that said, "It's H, incase u were confused by name and picture!!! X."

Antony White KC, representing Associated Newspapers, told the court on Tuesday that he was responsible for mistakenly claiming that "Mr Mischief" was the name Harry used for himself, rather than the name Griffiths adopted for the prince.

In a message dated Jan. 22, 2012, Griffiths seemingly wrote to him that they had missed him at a mutual friend's home the previous week and said she was in Klosters watching a snow polo match in support of his Sentebale charity. He allegedly replied, "I wish I was there sugar but unfortunately stuck in Cornwall doing Army stuff," and added that he was glad they had raised a lot of money for the charity and joking about drinking her under the table. He then appeared to sign off, "Hope you're really well Griff . . . Miss our movie snuggles!!"

During his earlier testimony in the case, it was also suggested that Harry and Griffiths had met at a house party on the Spanish island of Ibiza. Harry disputed that account, saying, "The only time I have been to Ibiza is with my wife and son." (He and Meghan Markle visited Ibiza in 2019 with their son, Prince Archie, now 6.)

In her witness statement, given later in March, Griffiths said she had met "Prince Harry's friends, including Arthur Landon, at one of those Ibiza house parties and spent some time over the summer in Ibiza with them in 2011 or 2012."

When giving evidence in court, Griffiths said she built her society contacts while attending school in west London and later at the University of Leeds, where she studied at the "same time as Chelsy Davy and continuing to socialize in similar high society circles ever since." Davy dated Prince Harry in the 2000s, and Griffiths said she met Harry through mutual friends.

In her witness statement released March 10, Griffiths also said she chose not to report on Kate Middleton's pregnancy with Prince George after learning the news at a private social gathering.

NEW YORK (AP) — Major League Baseball is bringing back "This Week in Baseball" by giving it a digital flair.

The iconic series will be revived on Major League Baseball's X account, as well as @XOriginals, every Friday at noon and will run through the postseason.

"This Week in Baseball" debuted in 1977 and was a weekly 30-minute program produced by MLB that highlighted the major events of the past week. The show was hosted by the late Hall of Fame announcer Mel Allen for many years. It ran until 1998 and saw a second stint from 2000-11.

The new-look "TWIB" will have episodes ranging from 5 to 10 minutes. It will be produced by MLB studios and include many segments from its predecessor, including highlights, bloopers, player profiles and "TWIB Notes." Kait Maniscalco will serve as the host.

East Tennessee Children's Hospital, which has been named after Dolly Parton, is praising her contributions to the institution

According to East Tennessee Children's Hospital, the country legend donated "generational and transformational" amounts of money to the infirmary

In February, Parton announced that the healthcare center was being renamed to Dolly Parton Children's Hospital

Dolly Parton is being praised for her generous contributions to East Tennessee Children's hospital, which is now named after her.

Following news that the health center would be renamed in honor of the country legend as Dolly Parton's Children's Hospital, its president and chief executive officer Matt Schaefer opened up about the "surreal moment" of receiving the "Jolene" hitmaker's donation.

In the interview with Chief Healthcare Executive on Monday, March 30, Schaefer praised Parton's "incredibly disarming personality."

"It was truly humbling, and to hear her, in her own words, talk about the importance of this to her, to her community, to this organization, and to children, was super affirming," he said of meeting Parton, 80.

Dolly Parton's Children's HospitalCredit: Dolly Parton Children's Hospital

Schaefer spoke about how, with the "9 to 5" artist's donation, he hoped to expand the hospital's roster of doctors, invest in new programs and technology and increase fundraising.

"I think anytime you have someone of her stature, someone of her standing, certainly in this region, across the United States, across the world, honestly, and to have the halo effect of everything she stood for in her life, including her love for children in particular, it just is fantastic for the future of our mission," he said of Parton.

While Schaefer played coy when it came to revealing the amount Parton donated, he said the sum was "generational and transformational."

"What I can tell you is that she has made a generational and transformational commitment to Children's and its mission, and that commitment is something that goes beyond our wildest expectations, that is beyond generous, and will be a lifeline for this mission for now and for years to come," he said.

Schaefer added, "And we're excited about and humbled by her willingness to do so."

He noted that having the hospital renamed after her will "allow them to tell a broader story about the depth and breadth of services here, to imagine how we can continue to expand those services, and it accelerates how we should think about what our responsibility is to the patients and families that trust us today and invariably will trust us tomorrow."

The partnership with Parton will "amplify and accelerate some of those initiatives in a way that we could not have done otherwise without that type of support and backing and awareness across the region, for providers, for clinicians, for patients, for families and for referring providers," added Schaefer.

In February, Parton shared an Instagram Reel announcing that the East Tennessee Children's Hospital has officially been renamed the Dolly Parton Children's Hospital.

In a video message and collaborative post with the Today show and the official hospital page, she said, "I've always believed that every child deserves a fair chance to grow up healthy, hopeful and surrounded with love. That belief is what brought me together with the incredible folks at East Tennessee Children's Hospital."

Parton continued, "For nearly 90 years, their teams have provided compassionate and talented care. They see children not just as patients, but as precious lives. Each with a story, and a future. I am so excited to share, East Tennessee Children's Hospital is becoming ... guess what? Dolly Parton Children's Hospital. Yay!"

"Together, we're committed to strengthening our relationship where world class care and a caring heart go hand in hand for children across East Tennessee and beyond. And I hope that you'll join me in supporting this work," she said.

Parton concluded by telling fans that she will need the public's help.

"I can't do it all myself! I'm going to need you. So when we come together for our children, there's no limit to what we can do. To learn more or to get involved, visit DollyChildrens.org," she said.

Yesterday, Prince Harry delivered a keynote address in Washington, D.C. at the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP)'s Global Summit where he spoke about his relationship with privacy.

"At a time when there is so much devastation and suffering happening in the world, it might seem strange to be speaking about privacy," he began. "But I see it differently. I see privacy as a foundational issue—one that underpins trust, safety, and the stability of our societies. And getting this right will have global consequences."

Harry continued, "My connection to privacy, and the lack of it, begins in a different place than most. From birth," referencing the media attention surrounding his birth in 1984, when his parents then-Prince Charles and Princess Diana posed outside the Lindo Wing with him as an infant.

The Duke of Sussex continued, "You may know that I've spent the past seven years in litigation against three media organizations in the UK over their systemic and unlawful invasions of privacy, as well as the cover up of it, dating back to the early 2000s. The worst examples of an industry that too often behaves as though it owns people's privacy—and feels it gets to decide what constitutes the public interest. Unfortunately, I have come to learn that this exploitation has become normalized."

As he detailed his fight against invasions of privacy, he said, "I have nothing to gain from taking on powerful institutions. In many ways, it's come at a personal and reputational cost for me, my wife, and our kids. But is it worth it? Absolutely. Because this is about more than one individual—it's about the systems that shape and influence all of our lives."

Harry also spoke about the recent Los Angeles trial in which Meta and YouTube were found negligent in harming a young woman through the design features on their platforms. "About bloody time!" he said in his speech. "A jury confirmed what parents have felt and experts have said all along—the systems driving our social media platforms have been built to exploit, not protect—and the people at the heart of it have always known it. Finally, some truth and accountability has arrived." The Prince also revealed he and Meghan Markle "had the opportunity to spend time with many of the parents in the Los Angeles case as it proceeded in the courtroom each day."

He concluded his keynote reflecting on his own life in the United States. "As a Brit living in the United States, I've been struck by the global reach of American tech," Harry said. "The standards set here increasingly define the digital environment everywhere—even in countries trying to protect their own citizens and their democracy. And when that influence scales faster than safeguards, the impact is felt far beyond U.S. borders."

As Archewell Philanthropies noted in a post on Sussex.com, the Duke of Sussex "called for brave leadership and a commitment to building systems where privacy won't just matter but will be impossible to ignore."

Jones was born in the panhandle of Texas in 1950, before she won an essay/speech contest in high school that brought her to Washington, D.C. After attending the University of Texas at Austin, Jones got more involved in the performance arts, eventually landing multiple TV guest roles in the '80s and '90s.

Among her many roles, she appeared in Night Court, Newhart, Grace Under Fire, Perfect Strangers, Who's the Boss and Melrose Place. She also marked performances in TV films like The Positively True Adventures of the Alleged Texas Cheerleader-Murdering Mom and Everybody's Baby: The Rescue of Baby Jessica.

In Murphy Brown's third season, Jones memorably played a woman named Mrs. Betty Hooley who is randomly interviewed by Murphy (Candice Bergen) before things go south. She also made multiple appearances in the 1998 WB sitcom You're the One, as well the 1995 ABC comedy Fudge.

On the comedy-writing side of things, Jones "found her most enduring, and certainly most explosive, success," per her obituary. She co-created the off-Broadway play Dearly Departed before it toured nationwide. She also co-authored the screenplay version of Kingdom Come, starring Whoopi Goldberg and LL Cool J. Her writing work also included installments of For Your Love and the children's series Teacher's Pet.

Jones notably co-wrote several plays with Wooten and Nicholas Hope. Their work included projects such as Velvet Cake War, Christmas Belles and The Savannah Sipping Society.

Wooten described her as "the most-produced female playwright in America," having had her plays performed "well over 100,000 times on stages all over the world."

"Jessie Jones did something amazing with her one wild and precious life: She made the world laugh," her obituary reads. "What a legacy and gift to leave behind to a world that needs that now more than ever."

She is survived by her sisters Ellen Jones (husband Jim McCarthy) and Laura Jones; niece Margaret McCarthy; nephews Tommy McCarthy, Todd Hyso (Jeri Ann) and Paul Hyso (Meri Dawn); and multiple grand-nieces, cousins and friends.

Jamie Lee Curtis is only sometimes willing to change up her signature look.

In a Monday, March 31, Instagram post celebrating 50 years of acting, Curtis shared a photo from one of her earliest roles on Columbo next to a more recent snap of herself rocking a surprising new hairstyle.

The Oscar winner, 67, traded her signature gray pixie cut for a cheekbone-grazing blonde bob with side-parted bangs. She also wears a black top, gold-framed sunglasses and gold jewelry. The photo looks to be of Curtis in costume for her role in Scarpetta.

"Next year, I will [have] been an actress for 50 years. I was never going to be an actor. I thought I'd be a cop," Curtis wrote in the caption.

She continued, "I was telling the story on set of my early jobs as an unnamed waitress on a Columbo episode when I was a contract player at Universal Pictures and now I am a producer, HBIC [head bitch in charge], a costar with Nicole Kidman and collaborator on #scarpetta @primevideo @nowscreamingpv @blumhouse @comet.pictures @blossomfilms."

"There was no future tripping," Curtis added. "It was just each job, one job at a time, grateful for any opportunity and patience. Lots of f---ing patience."

The actress has starred in iconic movies such as True Lies, Trading Places, A Fish Called Wanda, Freaky Friday and Knives Out.

Curtis — who is the daughter of award-winning actors Janet Leigh and Tony Curtis — won the Oscar in 2023 for Best Supporting Actress in the 2022 film, Everything Everywhere All at Once, where she played IRS auditor Deirdre Beaubeirdre.

The star has previously opened up about her signature hairstyle.

In April 2025, she took to Instagram to share a photo of her new haircut that she said makes her feel like herself.

In the caption, Curtis wrote that after needing to grow her hair out for the last year and a half for one of her acting jobs, she was finally able to cut it back to the way she prefers it.

"I did fine and obviously it's not a big deal but when I have my hair cut the way I love it and the way it suits me, it gives me the freedom to exist with no make up and very little fuss," she shared.

In the mirror selfie, Curtis posed with one hand on her hip, smiling makeup-free. The Freakier Friday actress also wore her large black-framed glasses.

"It gives me a confidence that I never had in my life and I am grateful that," she said of her haircut.

Curtis also took the time to thank her hairstylist Sean James, who she said, "has been in charge of this haircut for a LONG time.""I woke up this morning and thought, 'OK, now I look like me,'" the actress wrote in the post.

Jon Hamm continues to live up to his reputation as a Bravo superfan, proving he keeps up with the latest reality TV drama.

During his appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen Tuesday, the actor weighed in on the Summer House drama that shook the internet earlier in the day. Fans have been in an uproar after stars Amanda Batula and West Wilson confirmed their rumored romance via joint statement shared on Instagram on Tuesday afternoon.

When asked his thoughts on the drama by Cohen, Hamm wasn't shy to claim sides. "A lot of thoughts. Team Ciara for sure," the Your Friends & Neighbors star stated firmly, sharing his support for Ciara Miller, Wilson's ex and Batula's BFF. Miller and Wilson had a very public breakup after dating for a few months during the show's eighth season. Although their brief dalliance following Wilson's addition to the cast in 2023 ended on less than friendly terms, the pair have maintained a will-they-or-won't-they vibe ever since.

"Tricky manifestations of behavior there. I'm not so sure how you mentally do the flip-flops that are required to make that make sense in your head," Hamm went on, referring to Wilson and Batula's controversial romance. "But having just met Ciara, I think she's a great gal and she will certainly end up on her feet with all of this nonsense happening."

Earlier in the conversation, Hamm said he'd spoken to Miller Monday night, when she worked the carpet for the season 2 premiere of his Apple TV series. When the star asked her how she doing, Miller said she was "good" before adding that she's "been better" with a pointed look at the camera. Miller included the snippet in an Instagram reel on Tuesday night, captioning the post, "If you can't trust your Friends & Neighbors, who can you trust? Season 2 premieres Friday on @appletv #AppleTVPartner."

The interaction has sparked speculation that Miller knew that her costars were planning on going public with their new relationship.

Wilson and Batula shared the new status of their relationship on Tuesday. "We've seen the growing online speculation, so while this is still very new, we wanted to provide some clarity," their statement said in part. "We've shown up for each other as friends over the years, through all the highs and lows, and what's developed recently was the last thing either of us expected. Our connection grew out of a genuine, longstanding friendship, which made it especially important for us to approach this with care."

"As our feelings evolved, we wanted to take time to understand exactly what we were feeling," the statement continued. "We also recognize that this has had an impact beyond just us and never wanted our actions to cause any hurt or be perceived as careless."

The confirmation came weeks after gossip blog DeuxMoi reported that Wilson and Batula were allegedly hooking up.

The rumor created ripples throughout the Summer House fandom considering that the show's latest season featured multiple cast members wondering if Miller and Wilson were getting back together, with the latter being notably disturbed when approached by costar Jesse Solomon about possibly kissing Miller if given the chance. At one point in the season, Wilson even referred to Miller as "the love of my life."

Several Bravo stars seemingly responded (without actually saying anything) to the rumors. Southern Charm's Austen Kroll, who was recently spotted hanging out with Cooke, sent tongues wagging when he seemingly referenced the alleged hookup in an Instagram Story posted that same weekend. "Pasta and f* your friends exes are apparently so back," Kroll wrote.

Fans felt particularly scandalized about the rumors because Batula and Miller have been close friends for years; Batula even gushed about Miller coming to her aid after she and her husband Kyle Cooke announced their split in January, a little more than a month before online speculation about her relationship with Wilson began.

"[Miller] is one of the kindest, most loving, loyal friends I've ever had. She sends me texts out of the blue, reminding me how strong, powerful, smart, and kind I am — I don't think she even realizes how much I need those texts," Batula said in an interview with Marie Claire. "It's also meant so much to me how supportive West has been throughout the season, sometimes in ways I wasn't even aware of when filming. It's not performative; it's just really authentic to who West is."

Miller quietly unfollowed both of her castmates on Instagram after Batula and Wilson shared their joint statement. Both Batula and Wilson have also unfollowed the 30-year-old nurse, signifying a less-an-amicable friendship split.

Neither Cooke nor Miller have spoken out since Batula and Wilson confirmed their romance.
