Gigi Bello is a content creator primarily known for baking with her beloved sourdough starter, Eloise

However, in October 2025, the 28-year-old accountant living alone in Brooklyn, N.Y., took it upon herself to fix the covered peephole in her front door

Never did she expect the DIY series to go viral and rack up millions of views

After two and a half years in her Brooklyn, N.Y., apartment, Gigi Bello had come to terms with what she jokingly called her "landlord special" front door – featuring a useless peephole that had long been painted shut.

Recently, however, the situation took a serious turn when the 28-year-old accountant living alone was surprised, on more than one occasion, by police officers standing at her door, searching for someone else.

"My apartment number is really similar to another unit in my building, so they always get confused," Bello tells PEOPLE exclusively. "Not being able to see who was out there before opening the door didn't exactly make me feel safe."

Apart from safety, Bello was also generally curious about what was hiding underneath all those layers of white paint, so she took it upon herself to find out.

"I'm the type of person who never likes to ask for help – which usually gets me in trouble," the content creator admits, recalling the time she became a plumber for the day and ended up breaking her drain.

Another instance was when she attempted to install her own AC unit – a project that resulted in a missing grounding wire.

"I just love learning how things work and fixing stuff myself, and my overly confident mind always convinces me I can do it," Bello shares.

"I think that comes from growing up with an Italian dad and tagging along on his side jobs, laying brick and tile. It made me realize this kind of stuff isn't as intimidating as it looks – it's actually weirdly therapeutic."

The hardest part, she admits, was trying not to destroy the door in the process — unlike her ill-fated drain. However, things got a lot messier before they got better.

After tackling the layers of paint that had essentially been glued onto the doorbell, Bello quickly discovered that the peephole wouldn't budge no matter how hard she pulled.

As a result, she dismantled the entire doorbell and re-engineered the mechanism from the inside – using a hair scrunchie, of all things – to make it open and close properly.

That little victory was short-lived, though, when Bello realized the actual doorbell didn't work properly and, in an attempt to appease viewers, she experimented with it until a dull chime turned into a sharp ding.

Midway through her triumph, a commenter also pointed out that the black mold she'd discovered inside the peephole "looked like asbestos," sending her into a brief panic that thankfully turned out to be nothing serious.

"Live-posting every step and getting constructive criticism from people watching helped a ton too – some of the comments actually guided me in real time," Bello reveals. "The most surprising part was just how satisfying it all was, like solving a puzzle that's been bugging you for years."

What began as one of her "classic ADHD projects," sparked by curiosity and a simple desire to feel safer, quickly evolved into an online series that some commenters said rivaled anything streaming on HBO and Netflix.

"I figured maybe a few people would relate to dealing with 'landlord specials,' but I didn't think the internet would get this deep into my peephole journey," Bello admits.

Little did she know, each of her 10 videos about the DIY project would attract millions of views — with her second installment soaring past 17 million.

"It turned into this mini saga that everyone followed along with, which made it even more fun," Bello tells PEOPLE. "I really think when you're genuinely passionate about something – even if it's as random as a painted-over peephole – people can feel that energy. It makes them excited, too."

Now that the peephole has been fixed and she's restored it with a perfect golden stain — an equally captivating part of the project — Bello says she's learned a lot about herself along the way.

"I'm more capable than I give myself credit for. I joke that these are my ADHD projects, but they really do teach me patience and problem-solving," she tells PEOPLE.

"It's cool to realize you can take something apart, figure it out, and put it back together – and now I've got a working peephole to show for it."

When the Disney nets were first pulled from YouTube TV, the internet company said that if ESPN, ABC local stations and Disney's other channels were unavailable for "an extended period of time," it would offer subscribers a $20 credit — and now those credits are about to arrive.

In a bid to appease disgruntled customers, YouTube will begin issuing eligible YouTube TV customers a $20 credit starting on Sunday, Nov. 9, if there is still no deal with Disney to restore the channels. YouTube will send YouTube TV subscribers an email with instructions on how to apply the one-time $20 credit to their next billing statement. All credits will be issued by Wednesday, Nov. 12.

Disney Tells Employees YouTube TV Deal Remains Elusive

Disney Store Revs Up F1 Partnership With First-Ever Racing-Inspired Merch and Apparel Collection

YouTube TV subscribers have been unable to watch ESPN, ABC local stations and other Disney networks, since they were removed from the lineup shortly before midnight ET on Oct. 30.

If Disney agrees to a deal, channels will be restored "in a matter of hours," according to YouTube, well ahead of the NFL "Monday Night Football" Eagles-Packers game on Nov. 10, set to air on both ABC and ESPN.

"We know that subscribers are frustrated with the disruption and we continue to urge Disney to work with us constructively to reach a fair agreement that restores their networks to YouTube TV as soon as possible," YouTube said on Saturday. Regarding the negotiations, YouTube said, "Instead of negotiating in good faith with us to reach a deal, Disney continues to resort to their playbook."

YouTube TV, which is available only in the U.S., costs $82.99 per month for the base subscription plan.

The disagreement centers on price: Google claims Disney has demanded an unprecedented fee increase while Disney says the tech giant has been "refusing to pay fair rates for our channels."

On Friday, three top Disney execs — Disney Entertainment co-chairs Dana Walden and Alan Bergman, and ESPN chairman Jimmy Pitaro — sent a memo to staffers indicating that the two sides were still not close to reaching a deal renewal. "When will ESPN and ABC be back on the service? We wish we could give you that answer today, but unfortunately, we are headed into another sports-packed weekend without a deal in place," the execs wrote.

The Disney brass claimed the company has "offered fair terms that are in-line with the more than 500 other distributors that have renewed their agreements since last summer, including the top distributors, who are far larger than YouTube TV." (In October, Disney quietly reached a deal renewal with Comcast.) "Despite all this, YouTube TV continues to insist on receiving preferential terms that are below market and has made few concessions," Walden, Bergman and Pitaro said in the memo.

Disney execs claimed the company has offered Google "innovative, bespoke programming packages — tailored to sports fans, entertainment fans, kids and families — that would provide tremendous flexibility for YouTube TV and greater choice and value for its customers." But YouTube says it was their side that proposed to Disney the intro of new genre-based tiers and packaging flexibility to give YouTube TV customers more choices.

YouTube, in a statement Friday, claimed Disney "is resorting to their old tactics like leaking documents to the press, negotiating in public through their paid talent and misrepresenting the facts including from the deals they've offered and taking credit for our product proposals. Our team stands ready to make a fair agreement in line with their deals with other distributors and we encourage Disney to come to the table and do what's best for our mutual customers."

During the 2021 coaching carousel, the biggest prize was Southern California football poaching Lincoln Riley from Oklahoma.

Four years later, as coach after coach from the 2021 cycle is being shown the door, it's appropriate, Riley's name is making the rounds in the last week for some of the potential openings, including LSU, Florida and Penn State.

However, Riley shot down any notion of him leaving Los Angeles after coaching the Trojans for four years.

"You guys know what I sacrificed to be here," Riley said following a 38-17 win over Northwestern. "I'm where I need to be."

Speculation about Riley's future with USC was sparked earlier this week when college football analyst Josh Pate hinted about Riley's future during an appearance on "Bussin' With The Boys."

"Can we end on this?" Pate said while simulating the pulling of a pin on a grenade and throwing it "Let's just keep an eye on Lincoln Riley at USC."

Riley, 42, left the head coaching role in Norman, Oklahoma, after leading the program to a 55-10 record between 2017 and 2020, following the retirement of Bob Stoops. Riley led the Sooners to three straight College Football Playoff appearances between 2017 and 2019.

He fled the Sooners for the USC job one day after Oklahoma lost to rival Oklahoma State to end the regular season. While he had not been linked to the USC job, rumors about Riley's candidacy to LSU ran rampant that season.

In his first season with the Trojans, Riley led USC to an 11-win season, but a loss in the Pac-12 Championship game left it out of the CFP. The Trojans went 8-5 and 7-6 in 2023 and 2024, respectively. With the win on Friday, they improved to 7-2 and kept their playoff hopes alive.

NEW YORK (AP) — Labaron Philon scored 25 points and No. 15 Alabama passed an early season non-conference test with a 103-96 victory over fifth-ranked St. John's on Saturday afternoon.

Philon helped Alabama clinch the win with a deep 3-pointer for a 98-88 lead with two minutes remaining. He shot 10 of 17 from the field in his second straight strong performance as Alabama took control late in the first half, withstood a comeback and executed in the final minutes.

Aden Holloway added 21 points after sitting out the season opener with a wrist injury as the Crimson Tide (2-0) shot 48.1%. Taylor Bowen Bol and Latrell Wrightsell Jr. contributed 17 points each for Alabama, which impressively started a run of four straight games against ranked teams. They will face top-ranked Purdue, Illinois and Gonzaga after Saturday.

Holloway and Wrightsell were a combined 15-of-35 from the floor and hit six of Alabama's 11 3-pointers in the Crimson Tide's first appearance at Madison Square Garden since 2013-14.

Zuby Ejiofor scored 27 points for the Red Storm (1-1), who had a 12-game winning streak at MSG stopped. Bryce Hopkins added 19 and Ian Jackson finished with 14 as St. John's shot 49.2% but missed 12 free throws.

Alabama ended the first half by outscoring St. John's 16-6 and took a 53-44 halftime lead on a 3 by Holloway at the buzzer. The Crimson Tide held a 10-point lead early in the second and St. John's stormed back, getting an 81-80 lead on a 3-pointer by Joson Sanon with 8:13 left.

No. 8 Texas Tech established itself as the leading contender in the Big 12 with a 29-7 win over No. 7 BYU to end the Cougars' undefeated season.

The BYU offense couldn't get anything going while Texas Tech's offense struggled when it had the chance to score touchdowns. After taking a 10-0 lead at the end of the first quarter, Tech had to settle for three field goals under 40 yards over the next two quarters.

But the Red Raiders (9-1, 6-1, Big 12) officially made the game a rout with 10:46 to go. Cameron DIckey's 1-yard TD capped a 10-play, 80-yard drive to end any hope of a miraculous BYU comeback.

Did the work and got the reward.📺 @ESPNCFB | https://t.co/ulv8WH1Ini https://t.co/3gJBLCK1uo pic.twitter.com/kM4etTBqe8

— Texas Tech Football (@TexasTechFB) November 8, 2025

It wasn't just the field goals that prevented the game from being an even bigger blowout, either. Tech also had a chance to go up three scores before halftime. After calling timeout with three seconds to go, the Red Raiders went for a touchdown and a potential 20-0 lead at the break. It was the right call; a field goal would have kept the game at two possessions. A touchdown would have extended the lead to three.

However, QB Behren Morton's pass went through the hands of Terrance Carter Jr. in the end zone.

But even as Texas Tech's offense couldn't turn dives into touchdowns for much of the game, Texas Tech's defense did more than enough to make the game feel out of reach following Morton's first-quarter TD pass to Caleb Douglas.

The Red Raiders' defense has been one of the best in the country so far in 2025 and Saturday showed why. BYU freshman QB Bear Bachmeier looked awkward and uncomfortable for the first time all season and a run game powered by LJ Martin — who is dealing with a shoulder injury — was far from explosive.

Before finally scoring a TD with 7:35 to go, BYU's first eight drives of the game resulted in six punts, a missed 51-yard field goal attempt and an interception by all-world Texas Tech linebacker Jacob Rodriguez.

Pressure leads to the J-Rod pick! The 6th takeaway he's been involved in within the last 4 games alone.📺 @ESPNCFB | https://t.co/ulv8WH1Ini https://t.co/1OR0NKccwy pic.twitter.com/Bo8Fd7GZSh

— Texas Tech Football (@TexasTechFB) November 8, 2025

Rodriguez also recovered a fumble with less than four minutes to go. That was BYU's third turnover of the game.

Before the 75-yard TD drive, BYU's eight possessions totaled just 137 yards. And the Cougars' special teams didn't help, either. Tech's first points of the game came off a fumbled punt after BYU's first punt of the game was a shank.

Why Texas Tech is the favorite

The Red Raiders are still in a three-way tie in the loss column in the Big 12 with BYU and Cincinnati. But after an off week in Week 12, Tech finishes the season against UCF and West Virginia.

BYU (8-1, 5-1) and Cincinnati (7-2, 5-1), meanwhile, are set to play each other on Nov. 22. And both the Bearcats and Cougars face TCU before the end of the season. The Horned Frogs entered Week 11 at 3-2 in the conference and 6-2 overall.

That game between BYU and Cincinnati could end up being for the right to face the Red Raiders in the Big 12 title game.

Tech will be the favorite in Dallas — assuming, of course, the Red Raiders get there — against any opponent. But the offense will need to be much cleaner if Tech is going to be a national title contender.

A defense that was overhauled in the offseason via massive NIL spending in the transfer portal is title-worthy. But Morton looked shaky at times. If he's better and healthier after returning a week ago from a leg injury, then the Red Raiders could easily get a first-round bye.

Dakota Fanning opened up about her approach to working with young actors after her own history as a child star.

Chatting with PEOPLE exclusively at the New York City premiere of her new Peacock series, All Her Fault, on Nov. 3, the actress, 31, said she treats child actors just like the rest of her coworkers.

"I sort of just treat them how I would treat any other actor. I think that's what I appreciated when I was younger, so I just kind of go with that," Dakota explained.

Dakota made her big screen debut at just 7 years old in 2001's I Am Sam, which also starred Sean Penn and Michelle Pfeiffer.

She went on to costar in movies with Hollywood heavyweights like Denzel Washington, Tom Cruise and Brittany Murphy, all before the age of 12.

The actress now remains busy as ever. Dakota and her sister, Elle Fanning, are currently developing a project based on Paris Hilton's 2023 memoir.

"It's one of many projects that we're doing together [and] is something that our company's developing," she said. "We loved Paris Hilton growing up so much. So when the opportunity came about to sort of be a partner in telling her story, it was just so exciting."

"We have a genuine, deep love for the persona of Paris Hilton and also now the person Paris," continued Dakota.

Dakota's most recent project, All Her Fault, is a tense thriller about an abducted child. The show is led by Succession's Sarah Snook and also stars Jake Lacy, Abby Elliott, Sophia Lillis and Michael Peña.

Dakota said she and Snook, 37, were able to build an organic on-screen bond by getting to know each other in real life off camera.

"Both of our first days on the series ... was the scene where our characters meet for the first time. And so I think [it] was really helpful to get to know each other on set and then kind of have our first moment of playing these characters before the sort of mystery thriller part started, and just kind of see who these women are and see that bond," she said.

She continued, "So that was really nice. You don't often get to film in any sort of chronological order, so having that little bit of chronology was helpful. And then, just as you do, you get to know people on set and build camaraderie in moments where you can hang out."

"Sarah was so busy on this. So I think we all wanted to give her rest when she wasn't working, but it was just a lovely group of people and the best part of being an actor is getting to know people," Dakota added.

New episodes of All Her Fault air Thursdays on Peacock.

King Charles and Queen Camilla led the royal family in attending the Festival of Remembrance at London's Royal Albert Hall, honoring soldiers from Britain and the Commonwealth who have died in combat.

The King and Queen were joined by members of the royal family, including Kate Middleton and Prince George, who made his debut appearance at the festival alongside his mom. Prince William, who just returned to the U.K. from a trip to Brazil, did not appear to attend the event.

The royals all sported red poppy pins on their lapel, the U.K.'s symbol of Remembrance. The tradition, which began in 1921, is believed to have evolved from the poem "In Flanders Fields" by John McCrae.

The first verse of the poem reads, "In Flanders fields the poppies blow / Between the crosses, row on row, / That mark our place; and in the sky / The larks, still bravely singing, fly / Scarce heard amid the guns below."

Fittingly, the poem was written by McCrae in 1915 about a friend who died in World War I. Remembrance Day, which evolved from Armistice Day, is marked on Nov. 11 each year as World War I hostilities formally ended "at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month" of 1918.

Prince Charles and Queen Camilla at the Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance

In the U.S., Nov. 11 eventually became Veterans Day; however, Remembrance Day is more akin in tone to Americans' Memorial Day, which is observed in May.

The Festival of Remembrance marked the first major gathering of royal family members since the former Prince Andrew was stripped of his royal titles, including prince and the styling of "His Royal Highness."

After Buckingham Palace announced on Oct. 30 that the King had begun the formal process to strip his brother of all titles and honors, the move was made official on Nov. 3 by a legal document known as a Letters Patent.

Andrew stepped back from his public royal role in 2019 after discussing his connection to Jeffrey Epstein in a BBC interview. However, the scandal was renewed in recent weeks after the posthumous memoir of Epstein victim Virginia Giuffre, who died by suicide in April at 41, and leaked emails that confirmed Andrew was in touch with Epstein after he claimed he had cut ties with him.

Members of the royal family will gather again tomorrow for the National Service of Remembrance, also known as Remembrance Sunday, at The Cenotaph war memorial in London. The Cenotaph was unveiled by Queen Elizabeth's grandfather, King George V, on Nov. 11, 1920, as a tribute to the fallen soldiers from World War I. That same day, he laid the Unknown Warrior to rest in Westminster Abbey.

A Century of Remembrance author Laura Clouting previously told PEOPLE that Remembrance is "very personal" for the royal family, as a way to show their gratitude for "the loss of life basically occurring in their name — certainly in the name of the sovereign as the head of state."

The King made several military-related appearances in the weeks leading up to Remembrance Day.

On Oct. 27, he attended the unveiling of the first memorial dedicated to LGBTQ+ members of the British armed forces. King Charles met with veterans and laid a bouquet at the base of the memorial at the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire.

The bronze sculpture, titled "An Opened Letter," was designed to look like a crumpled piece of paper. It is made up of words found in letters that were used to out and disgrace closeted service members prior to 2000, when the U.K. lifted the ban on openly gay and lesbian citizens in the military.

David Wiggins was being treated for a broken arm following a bike accident, and told the monarch that doctors installed three metal plates to help it heal.

"I've got endless plates and screws in my arm as well," the King replied, joking, "All that's left of you when you drop dead is 'Made in Switzerland.' "
