AC/DC guitarist Stevie Young was hospitalized ahead of the band's shows in Buenos Aires for their Power Up Tour.

Young, 69, was "not feeling well" upon the group's arrival in Argentina. The band shared an update on the guitarist's health on their website, stating that Young underwent several tests "out of an abundance of caution."

"Stevie is doing well and is in good spirits," the statement continued. "He is looking forward to getting on stage on Monday."

AC/DC have been on the Power Up Tour since 2024, supporting their album of the same name released in 2021. *Power Up *was the group's first full-length project since the death of founding member and guitarist Malcolm Young in 2017 at the age of 64.

Angus Young, the legendary rock act's lead guitarist and Malcolm's younger brother, previously told ** that he was moved to create an album with unreleased songs he had written with his sibling. The band viewed *Power Up *as a tribute to their late bandmate.

"There were songs written by Malcolm and myself through the years," he shared, explaining the tracks that were created around 2008's *Black Ice*. "He had always wanted to get them released, so I thought this was a great time."

Stevie Young, Malcolm and Angus' nephew, replaced the late guitarist three years before his death. Stevie has been a permanent member of AC/DC since 2014, after Malcolm had stepped back from the group due to his deteriorating health.

"I work at the stuff all the time, I keep working away," Stevie once said on the AC/DC YouTube channel in 2016, before Malcolm's death. "Every day I listen and try to find bits that I missed or something that Malcolm did that would help with what's going in the tunes. I'm not trying to imitate or copy him, but trying to keep the spirit of what he did in the band."

The Power Up Tour is currently passing through South America and will make its way to North America in the fall.

It's unclear why Young was hospitalized, but ** reached out to representatives for AC/DC for comment.
