Following months of speculation, David and Victoria Beckham's eldest son Brooklyn Peltz Beckham broke his silence about his relationship with his parents, saying he does "not want to reconcile" with his family and accusing them of "trying endlessly to ruin my relationship" with wife Nicola Peltz Beckham.
In a string of lengthy Instagram stories posted Monday, Jan. 19, Brooklyn said he has "been silent for years and made every effort to keep these matters private," but after his parents and their team "continued to go to the press," he was left with "no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed."
"I'm not being controlled, I'm standing up for myself for the first time in my life," Beckham added, alluding to online speculation he's estranged from his family because of his wife.
He further alleged his parents "have been trying endlessly to ruin my relationship since before my wedding, and it hasn't stopped."

USA TODAY has reached out to Victoria and David Beckham's representatives for comment. David, 50, appeared to offer a response to his son's comments during an appearance on CNBC's "Squawk Box" Jan. 20.
"I have always spoken about social media and the power of social media," David Beckham. "For the good and for the bad. The bad we've talked about with what kids can access these days, it can be dangerous."
He continued: "I've tried to do the same with my children, to educate them. They make mistakes, but children are allowed to make mistakes. That is how they learn. That is what I try to teach my kids. You sometimes have to let them make those mistakes as well."

Nicola describes herself as an "actor/writer/director" and "dog activist" in her Instagram bio.
The 31 year old, who grew up about an hour from Manhattan in New York, told Coveteur in September 2019 she decided to pursue acting after enjoying drama classes.
She most recently wrote, directed and starred in the 2024 film "Lola James," about a young woman trying to save up to get her brother out of their toxic family home. Victoria attended the film's premiere in Los Angeles, California, on Feb. 3, 2024.
Nicola also previously acted in the 2020 Netflix romantic comedy "Holidate," Michael Bay's 2014 film "Transformers: Age of Extinction" and M. Night Shyamalan's 2010 live-action film adaptation of "Avatar: The Last Airbender." She also starred in the "Bates Motel" series, playing the love interest of the young Norman Bates (2013 to 2015.)
She is also set to appear in ballerina drama "Prima," alongside Faye Dunaway, Jack Huston and Betty Gabriel.

Brooklyn, 26, is the eldest son of David and Victoria Beckham. He has three siblings Romeo, 23, Cruz, 20, and Harper, 14.

Brooklyn and Nicola tied the knot in an elaborate wedding in 2022 at a mansion owned by the bride's father in Palm Beach, Florida. The wedding was a lavish affair with a galaxy of stars in attendance including, Eva Longoria, Serena Williams, Gordon Ramsay and model Isabela Grutman.
Later, in August 2025, the two renewed their vows with Brooklyn's parents absent from the ceremony. The celebration took place days after Victoria shared European vacation photos featuring several other members of the Beckham family.

Brooklyn and Nicola met in 2017 while they were dating other people, the two revealed in an interview with Glamour in June 2025.
"The first time I saw Nicola at Coachella [in 2017], I was instantly drawn to her," Brooklyn said. "She was gorgeous, obviously, but it was her warmth and energy that stuck with me. Even though it was a blink-and-you-miss-it moment, I never forgot it."
Nicola told the magazine: "It was brief, but I felt something. I had a boyfriend, he had a girlfriend – but there was this instant charm. He took a few photos of me, and somehow that moment stayed with me for years."
The two revealed their engagement in 2020.

Nicola is the daughter of billionaire businessman Nelson Peltz and model Claudia Heffner.
Nelson Peltz, 83, is a founding partner of an investment management fund Trian Fund Management and Trian Partners based in New York. He was previously the director of several global brands, including Heinz, and the former chair of the Wendy's fast food chain. He has an estimated net worth of $1.6 billion, according to Forbes.
Claudia Heffner, meanwhile, was a successful model in the 1980s and 1990s. Nicola's parents have been together for more than 40 years and have eight children: two daughters, including Nicola, and six sons.
