The film will once again follow debonair detective Blanc (Daniel Craig) as he takes on a new puzzling case. The official synopsis reads, "After a sudden and seemingly impossible murder rocks the town, the lack of an obvious suspect prompts local police chief Geraldine Scott (Mila Kunis) to join forces with renowned detective Benoit Blanc to unravel a mystery that defies all logic."

Josh O'Connor stars as priest Jud Duplenticy, who is sent to assist Monsignor Jefferson Wicks (Josh Brolin). Wick's group consists of devout churchgoer Martha Delacroix (Glenn Close), groundskeeper Samson Holt (Thomas Haden Church), lawyer Vera Draven (Kerry Washington), aspiring politician Cy Draven (Daryl McCormack), town doctor Nat Sharp (Jeremy Renner), concert cellist Simone Vivane (Cailee Spaeny) and author Lee Ross (Andrew Scott).

After premiering at TIFF in September, Craig reflected on being a part of the trilogy, which he described as "a constant surprise," while remembering Johnson's first script for "Knives Out."

"We made it with no ambition whatsoever," he told Variety. "Just let's do the best movie we can. And it became something, and then here we are."

Craig continued, acknowledging that he's open to revisiting his character and solving more mysteries in the future. "These movies have to work at a very, very high level, otherwise there's no point in doing them," he said. "So as long as they're doing that, we'll keep doing them."
